机构沿革
四川省农业科学院园艺研究所建于 1987 年,前身为四川省农业科学院种苗研究中心,1996 年更名为现名,是四川省内唯一从事园艺作物研究的省级科研单位,隶属四川省农业科学院,为省直属事业单位。建所以来,该所聚焦西南地区园艺作物种质资源与栽培技术研究,逐步建成果树、蔬菜、花卉三大研究中心协同的学科布局。
内设机构与研究部门
全所内设党政办、科管办、条财办 3 个管理服务部门,下设果树研究中心、蔬菜研究中心、花卉研究中心等 7 个专业科室。现有在编职工 72 人,其中研究员 20 人、副研究员 20 人、博士研究生 40 人,享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家 3 人,全国农业农村系统先进个人 1 人,全国神农青年英才 1 人,四川省学术和技术带头人 6 人,”天府青城计划”入选者 3 人,四川省有突出贡献的优秀专家 4 人,综合试验站站长 11 人。
研究方向与重点领域
主要从事果树、蔬菜、花卉等园艺作物的基础研究、应用基础研究以及优质高效栽培技术的应用与推广。重点开展园艺作物种质资源收集与创制、新品种引进与选育、果树早结丰产优质高效栽培技术研究与推广、果树病毒病鉴定与脱毒苗工厂化生产技术研究、蔬菜(含设施蔬菜)与瓜类抗逆高产高效栽培技术研究、生物技术与组培快繁技术开发等。多年来,该所科技人员中 55% 曾赴美国、意大利、法国等国家考察、进修、合作研究或攻读学位,并与克罗地亚、美国、新西兰等国保持科技合作与学术交流。
科技平台与项目成果
建有农业农村部西南地区园艺作物生物学与种质创制重点实验室、柑橘育种与栽培国家地方联合工程实验室、国家西南特色园艺作物种质资源圃(成都)、中国农业科学院西南园艺研究中心、果蔬园艺作物种质创新与利用四川省重点实验室等科技创新平台,并承担国家现代农业产业技术体系综合试验站 8 个,以及四川果树创新团队与蔬菜创新团队。”十三五”以来累计承担国家、部省级重大攻关项目 500 余项,获各级科技成果奖 80 余项,获授权专利 123 项,品种审定(认定)69 个,发表论文 500 余篇,出版专著 30 余部,制定地方标准 41 项,遴选全国农业主推技术 1 项、省级主推技术 40 余项。
花卉与园林研究板块
花卉研究中心(园林花卉研究中心)是集花卉产、学、研于一体的省级科研机构,现有科技人员 9 人,其中研究员 1 人、副研究员 3 人、助理研究员 5 人、硕士 5 人。主要从事花卉新品种选育、野生资源收集与利用、新技术研发与推广、园林规划设计与施工、项目规划与可行性论证、技术咨询与服务以及技术培训等工作,同时面向地方政府与企业开展果树、蔬菜安全生产综合配套技术的集成组装与有偿技术服务。
Institutional History
The Horticulture Research Institute was founded in 1987 as the Seedling Research Center of the Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences and was renamed under its present title in 1996, when it also became the sole provincial-level research body in Sichuan dedicated to horticultural crops. Affiliated to the Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences as a directly-administered public institution, the institute has progressively built up a coordinated disciplinary structure spanning fruit trees, vegetables and ornamentals, with a long-term focus on germplasm and cultivation science for the Southwest China region.
Internal Departments and Research Units
The institute is organised into three administrative offices (Party and Government, Scientific Management, and Finance and Assets) and seven specialised research units centred on fruit trees, vegetables, flowers and related disciplines. Among the 72 in-service staff are 20 full and 20 associate research fellows, along with 40 staff holding doctoral degrees. Honours held by current staff include three State Council special allowance recipients, one national model worker in agriculture and rural affairs, one Shennong Young Talent, six Sichuan academic and technical leaders, three Tianfu Qingcheng Plan laureates, four Sichuan experts with outstanding contributions, and 11 chief scientists of integrated experiment stations.
Research Directions and Priority Areas
Core work covers basic and applied research on fruit, vegetable and flower crops, together with the development and extension of high-quality, efficient cultivation techniques. Priority programmes include the collection and creation of horticultural germplasm, introduction and breeding of new cultivars, research and extension of early-bearing, high-yield and high-quality fruit cultivation techniques, virus detection and virus-free seedling production for fruit crops, protected and open-field vegetable cultivation, stress-tolerant and high-yield cucurbit cultivation, and biotechnology and tissue-culture propagation. About 55 percent of research staff have visited, trained or studied in countries including the United States, Italy and France, and the institute maintains scientific cooperation and academic exchange with Croatia, the United States, New Zealand and other partners.
Research Platforms and Project Outputs
The institute hosts a portfolio of national and provincial platforms, including the Key Laboratory of Horticultural Crop Biology and Germplasm Creation in Southwest China under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Citrus Breeding and Cultivation, the National Southwest Specialty Horticultural Crop Germplasm Repository (Chengdu), the Southwest Horticulture Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the Sichuan Provincial Key Laboratory for Germplasm Innovation and Utilisation of Fruit, Vegetable and Ornamental Crops. It also operates eight integrated experiment stations under the national modern agricultural industrial technology system and leads the Sichuan fruit and vegetable innovation teams. Since the 13th Five-Year Plan, the institute has undertaken more than 500 national, ministerial and provincial key projects, received over 80 science and technology awards, been granted 123 patents, approved or certified 69 varieties, published over 500 papers and 30 monographs, and formulated 41 local standards, with one national and more than 40 provincial leading agricultural technologies selected for wider rollout.
Flower and Landscape Horticulture Section
The Flower Research Center integrates production, teaching and research at provincial level, with a team of nine staff including one research fellow, three associate research fellows, five assistant fellows and five master’s degree holders. Work covers new cultivar breeding, collection and utilisation of wild resources, research and extension of new technologies, garden planning, design and construction, project planning and feasibility studies, technical consulting, and technical training. The institute as a whole also provides integrated horticultural technology services to local governments and enterprises in fruit and vegetable safety production.
