学会概况与历史沿革
中国园艺学会 (Chinese Society for Horticultural Science, 缩写 CSHS) 创建于 1929 年春, 是中国共产党领导下依法登记的全国性园艺科技工作者的公益性学术社团, 隶属中国科学技术协会。1934 年学会出版第 1 期《中国园艺学会会报》。1951 年 8 月开始筹备, 1956 年 8 月在北京召开正式成立大会, 选出以曾宪朴为理事长的第一届理事会。1985 年经国家体改委批准恢复为一级学会, 挂靠中国农业科学院蔬菜花卉研究所。
组织架构与理事会
学会现任第十四届理事会, 理事长为中国工程院副院长邓秀新院士, 副理事长由中国农业科学院蔬菜花卉研究所所长张友军研究员、中国工程院院士李天来教授、南京农业大学校长陈发棣教授、河北农业大学党委书记申书兴教授等组成, 秘书长由中国农业科学院蔬菜花卉研究所所长张友军研究员兼任。学会下设果树、蔬菜、西甜瓜、观赏园艺四个专业委员会以及女科学家分会, 秘书处设在中国农业科学院蔬菜花卉研究所。
业务范围与专业领域
学会业务范围覆盖果树、蔬菜、西甜瓜与观赏园艺的栽培、育种、种质资源、产品贮藏加工、生物技术应用、园艺产品流通及园林规划设计等多个方向。1985 年经国家体改委批准恢复为一级学会。2012 年经科技部批准设立「华耐园艺科技奖」, 用于奖励在国内园艺科技领域做出突出贡献的园艺科技工作者, 是我国园艺学科最具影响力的科技奖项之一。
学术期刊与国际交流
学会主办《园艺学报》(Acta Horticulturae Sinica) 与《Horticultural Plant Journal》两本核心学术刊物。《园艺学报》创刊于 1962 年, 由中国科协主管, 学会与中国农业科学院蔬菜花卉研究所共同主办, 为月刊, 国际标准刊号 0513-353X, 国内统一刊号 CN11-1924/S, 主要刊载果树、蔬菜、观赏植物、茶及药用植物等领域的学术论文与研究报告, 编委会由多位本领域院士与知名专家学者组成, 多次获中国科协精品科技期刊工程项目资助, 被国内外多个权威文摘与引文数据库收录。
科学普及与社会服务
学会把科学普及与科技三农作为长期工作重点, 通过科普知识与科普视频栏目向公众传播园艺科技常识, 在科技三农、科技成果转化与团体标准制定等方面与产业紧密对接, 持续承担国家乡村振兴与园艺产业发展的技术支撑职能, 是中国园艺学界最具代表性的全国性学术团体之一。
Society Profile and Historical Evolution
The Chinese Society for Horticultural Science (CSHS) traces its origins to the spring of 1929. It was re-established in Beijing in August 1956 as a nationwide, non-profit learned society for horticultural scientists and technologists, operating under the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). The Society published the first issue of the CSHS Bulletin in 1934 and resumed national activities after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, registering as an independent national first-tier learned society in 1985 under the supervision of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences’ Institute of Vegetables and Flowers.
Governance and Council Leadership
The current 14th Council is led by President Deng Xiuxin (Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, CAE Member, Professor at Huazhong Agricultural University). Vice Presidents include Zhang Youjun (Director of the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, CAAS), Li Tianlai (CAE Member, Shenyang Agricultural University), Chen Fadi (President of Nanjing Agricultural University), Shen Shuxing (Party Secretary of Hebei Agricultural University), among other senior horticultural scientists. The Secretariat is hosted at the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, CAAS. The Society oversees five specialized committees covering Pomology, Vegetables, Melons and Watermelons, Ornamental Horticulture, and the Women in Horticulture Branch.
Disciplinary Scope and Professional Domains
The Society’s disciplinary scope spans the cultivation, breeding, germplasm conservation, postharvest storage and processing, biotechnology application, horticultural product trade, and landscape planning of fruit trees, vegetables, melons and watermelons, and ornamental plants. The Huanai Horticultural Science and Technology Award, approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2012, recognizes outstanding contributions by Chinese horticultural scientists and remains one of the most prestigious awards in the field.
Academic Journals and International Collaboration
The Society publishes two core academic journals: Acta Horticulturae Sinica (YuanYi XueBao), a monthly journal founded in 1962 (ISSN 0513-353X, CN 11-1924/S) under the supervision of CAST, jointly sponsored by the Society and the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, CAAS; and Horticultural Plant Journal, an international peer-reviewed venue. Acta Horticulturae Sinica has repeatedly received recognition under the CAST Outstanding Science and Technology Journal Program and is indexed in leading international abstracting and citation services.
Public Outreach and Societal Service
Public science outreach and technology transfer to the rural sector are core long-term priorities. Through dedicated sections on horticultural knowledge and outreach videos, and through structured programs on rural technology, industry transformation, and the development of association standards, the Society maintains sustained engagement with China’s broader horticultural industries and rural revitalization initiatives.
