About the Nursery
Pépinière de clématites Van Nuffelen is a small family-run clematis specialist nursery in the Flanders region of Belgium, founded and still run by Frank Van Nuffelen. The associated website clematis.be went online in 1996, making it one of the first European nurseries to put its full clematis catalogue on the web. The nursery puts quality and service first; the catalogue now lists more than 680 clematis cultivars, and the site is published in both Dutch and French for local Belgian buyers.
Variety Range
The catalogue is organised by category so customers can shop by use: a species list covering the alpina, macropetala, montana, texensis, viticella, tangutica, vitalba and florida groups; herbaceous clematis for filling a flower border; evergreen types covering the New Zealand and cirrhosa groups; an Evison collection of selected large-flowered hybrids from the UK; and the rest of the large-flowered hybrids laid out in a plain A–Z index.
Planting and Buying Guidance
