学院概况
艾花美插花藝術學院 (Tonie Yuen Professional Floristry Program) 由袁转好女士于上世纪八十年代中在香港创办，是香港最早一批系统化引进西方、东欧与日本三大主流花艺流派的私立花艺教育机构。学院课程著重正规及系统化训练，配合严格教学大纲，并积极培训本地导师团队，旨在将花艺技术普及化，并全面提升香港专业花艺水平。学院历届学员于香港花卉展览中累计获奖超过两百项，包括香港花展全场总冠军及多项金奖，奠定了学院在香港专业花艺教育领域的重要地位。
艺术总监袁转好
学院创办人兼艺术总监袁转好女士 (Ms. Tonie Yuen) 早年留学美国、欧洲及日本多所著名花艺学院，薈萃东西方插花艺术精华为一系，并成为首位将系统化专业花艺课程引进香港的导师。袁女士曾任美国加州艾花美插花艺术学院课程总监 (1991–2004)、香港各专业插花协会比赛评判与国际花道评委，并多次在香港与内地花展担任示范与评判工作。2010 年她获香港特区政府民政事务局局长颁发嘉许奖状，以表彰其多年来对推动香港花艺的不懈努力。
三大课程体系
学院现设三大常设课程体系：日式花道 (草月流) 课程由东京草月会馆统一编订课本与考级，著重现代艺术与传统花道之结合，学员修满 24 课可获东京草月会馆颁发证书；艾花美花艺全科课程 (源自 1947 年加州体系) 全程 120 小时共 15 课，涵盖插花、襟花头饰、盆栽花束、礼仪花牌、婚礼花球、节日摆设、教堂布置、汽球花饰、鲜花保养、橱窗装饰、花店管理、业务推广、鲜乾丝花、酒会花车、颜色配搭及入货计价等十六项专业模块；押花艺术课程融合欧美与日本各派精萃，教授微波炉与天然干燥板等多种压花技巧。
获奖与行业地位
学院师生与校友历年于香港花卉展览大型展品组比赛中多次获颁「最具特色大奖」「最佳设计大奖」及学童组等多个组别的冠军头衔，跨年度获奖作品涵盖西方插花、东方插花与小型插花三大类别。袁女士本人长期担任香港花卉展览展览委员会委员，并出任香港园艺学会名誉院士、香港特区政府社区参与绿化委员会顾问，以及草月指導者聯盟 (东京草月会馆) 注册一级师范理事与国际花会 (香港分会) 会员。

Academy Overview
Tonie Yuen Professional Floristry Program (Tonie Yuen Academy of Flower Arrangement, Hong Kong) was founded in the mid-1980s by Ms. Tonie Yuen as one of Hong Kong’s earliest private floral arts education institutions to systematically integrate Western, European and Japanese floral design traditions. The academy delivers structured professional training supported by rigorous curricula, actively mentors local instructor teams, and has trained more than one thousand students who have collectively earned over two hundred awards at the Hong Kong Flower Show, including multiple Grand Champion titles and gold trophies.
Founder Ms. Tonie Yuen
Founder and Art Director Ms. Tonie Yuen trained at the Oklahoma AFS Education Center (1992), Zuidkoop and Boerma Institute in the Netherlands (1990), Radcliffe College at Harvard University in landscape design (1987), Sogetsu Headquarters in Tokyo (1985), and Elvamay Florist School in California (1983). She served as Curriculum Director of the Tonie Yuen Academy of Flower Arrangement California branch from 1991 to 2004, has been an international ikebana judge and competition adjudicator since 1991, and received the Hong Kong SAR Home Affairs Bureau Commendation Award in 2010 for her sustained contribution to Hong Kong’s floral arts community.
Three Curriculum Programs
The academy operates three standing curriculum streams: the Sogetsu Ikebana program, whose textbooks and examinations are issued by Sogetsu Headquarters in Tokyo and which awards a certificate upon completion of twenty-four lessons; the Tonie Yuen Professional Floristry Program (originating in the 1947 California tradition), a 120-hour course of fifteen lessons covering sixteen professional modules from arrangement and corsage design to shop management and event floristry; and the Pressed Flower Art program, which synthesizes European, American and Japanese techniques including microwave and natural desiccant-board preservation methods.
Awards and Industry Standing
Faculty, students and alumni have regularly captured the Grand Award for Unique Feature, Best Design Award, and multiple section champions in the Large Display, Western, Eastern and Junior categories of the Hong Kong Flower Show over more than two decades. Ms. Yuen serves on the Hong Kong Flower Show Exhibition Committee, holds Honorary Fellowship of the Hong Kong Horticultural Society, sits as advisor to the Hong Kong SAR Community Participation Greening Committee, and is a registered First-Level Master Instructor of the Sogetsu Instructors League (Sogetsu Headquarters, Tokyo).
