历史沿革

《Gartenpraxis》是德国 Verlag Eugen Ulmer KG 出版发行的园艺专业月刊，1975 年创刊，总部位于斯图加特。出版社 Eugen Ulmer 由同名创始人于 1868 年起家，最初专注果树栽培文献，今天已涵盖生物、农业、园林三大方向，常备书目约 750 种、期刊 20 种，每年新增约 60 种。Gartenpraxis 副标题为「Ulmers Pflanzenmagazin」（乌尔默植物杂志），迄今已出版超过 470 期。

栏目体系

杂志分八大固定栏目：Stauden（多年生草本）、Gehölze（观赏木本）、Gestalten（造园设计）、Geophyten（球根花卉）、Sämereien（种子新品）、Sommerblumen（一二年生草花）、Pflanzen im Haus（室内植物）、Gärten am Reiseweg（旅行中的花园）。每期围绕一个主题，例如 2011 年第 8 期深入报道 Chelsea Flower Show 的「回归自然」新趋势、2012 年第 2 期则推出 Loasaceae 科专稿与 Lerchensporn 球根专题。

编辑与作者

主编 Jonas Reif 自 2011 年 8 月起担任「Gartenpraxis」责任编辑，景观规划专业出身，2008 至 2011 年间在德累斯顿工业大学（TU Dresden）景观建筑研究所从事植物应用方向科研，副主编 Kirsten Unshelm 协助日常编辑事务。作者群以德国权威学者与园艺专家为主，包括 Weihenstephan 植物园前负责人 Peter Kiermeier 教授、慕尼黑工大 Karl H. C. Ludwig 教授、1977 年联邦园艺展（BUGA）与 1993 年 Stuttgart 国际园艺展（IGA 93）的总体规划者 Hans Luz 教授等。

读者服务与活动

杂志每年组织 Gp-Leserreise（读者旅行），如 2012 年 6 月的诺曼底七日深度考察；推出 Festabo（整年订阅）、Geschenkabo（礼品订阅）、Ausbildungsabo（学生订阅）、Miniabo、Probeheft 等多档订阅方案。杂志网站为订户提供 1990 年以来的完整 PDF 档案，配合 Gp-Termindatenbank（园艺活动数据库）按邮编检索全德花展与讲座信息；2012 年起为 IPM Essen（埃森国际植物展）开发了专门的 iOS/Android 移动应用，提供展馆地图、展商名录与展会资讯。

国际视野与影响

专栏「Gärten am Reiseweg」已积累超过 100 篇报道，覆盖埃及、巴西、英国、法国、意大利、日本、瑞典、美国等 60 余国的著名花园与公园，2011 年报道了北挪威的罕见私人庭园与卢加诺湖畔的 Sir Peter Smithers 遗产花园。栏目 Homo horticola 邀请诺贝尔生理学或医学奖得主 Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard 等跨界名家撰稿，把分子生物学、遗传学视角带入园艺学讨论。

History

Gartenpraxis is a monthly horticultural magazine published by Verlag Eugen Ulmer KG, headquartered in Stuttgart (Wollgrasweg 41, 70574). The Eugen Ulmer publishing house was founded in 1868 as a specialist publisher for fruit-growing literature; today its program covers biology, agriculture, and horticulture, with about 750 active book titles and 20 periodicals, adding roughly 60 new releases each year. The first issue of Gartenpraxis appeared in 1975, and the magazine carries the subtitle Ulmers Pflanzenmagazin.

Editorial Sections

The magazine is organised around eight recurring sections: Stauden (perennials), Gehölze (woody plants), Gestalten (garden design), Geophyten (bulbs), Sämereien (seed novelties), Sommerblumen (annuals), Pflanzen im Haus (house plants), and Gärten am Reiseweg (gardens worth travelling for). Each issue centres on a main topic — the August 2011 issue covered Chelsea Flower Show’s return-to-nature trend, while the February 2012 issue featured a Loasaceae portrait and a Corydalis monograph.

Editors and Contributors

Jonas Reif has served as Chefredakteur (editor-in-chief) of Gartenpraxis since August 2011. A trained landscape planner, he worked as a research associate at TU Dresden’s Institute of Landscape Architecture from 2008 to 2011, specialising in plant use. Kirsten Unshelm assists the editorial office. Regular contributors include Prof. Peter Kiermeier (former head of the Weihenstephan gardens), Prof. Karl H. C. Ludwig (Munich), and Prof. Hans Luz, the landscape architect who planned the 1977 Bundesgartenschau and Stuttgart’s IGA 93.

Reader Services and Activities

The magazine organises an annual reader trip — the 2012 edition took subscribers to Normandy for seven days. Subscription formats cover regular, gift, training, mini, and trial options. Subscribers access a complete PDF archive going back to 1990, plus a regional event database searchable by postal code. From 2012, a dedicated iOS/Android app provided hall maps, exhibitor listings, and news for visitors to the IPM Essen plant fair.

International Reach

The Gärten am Reiseweg column has published more than 100 features on gardens and parks across sixty-plus countries including Egypt, Brazil, Britain, France, Italy, Japan, Sweden, and the United States. The Homo horticola column invites eminent scientists such as Nobel laureate Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard to bring molecular biology and genetics into the gardening conversation, broadening the magazine’s reach beyond traditional horticultural readership.
