历史由来
新西兰专业花店公司 (NZPF Inc.) 的前身是 1930 年成立的新西兰专业花卉艺术家协会 (Society of New Zealand Professional Floral Artists Inc.), 首届年会于 1931 年 6 月 25 日召开, 最初由七位创办人组成, 入会需邀请制. 1935 年起着手建立考试体系, 1939 年确立入会考试规则, 二战期间一度中断, 1946 年恢复后以文凭考试合格作为入会资格. 1974 年协会吸纳 Interflora Pacific Unit 和 Teleflower 两家电报花店的成员, 正式更名为新西兰专业花店协会 (Society of New Zealand Professional Florists Incorporated). 1996 年再次重组, 进一步向所有职业花艺师开放, 改用现名 NZPF Inc.
使命与组织
NZPF 是一个以提升新西兰花艺行业整体水准为唯一宗旨的非营利组织, 口号是 “追求卓越, 成就专业” (Strive for Excellence, Achieve Professionalism). 协会由七位志愿任职的董事会成员组成, 现任会长 Celeste Shotter (Dip.NZPF) 来自 Copseford Flowers, 副会长 Debra Kinnaird (Dip.NZPF) 来自 Fleur by DK Design, 考试协调员 Megan Parker 是 NZPF 终身会员, 文凭持有人代表 Angela Orchiston (Dip.NZPF), 行业代表 Marie Fowler, 财务秘书 Julie Ainsworth, 以及由国际送花网络 Interflora 派驻的执行董事. 日常事务可通过网站联系秘书处.
资格认证体系
NZPF 设立两级职业资格考试, 分别是商用花艺四级证书 (Certificate in Commercial Floristry Level 4) 和文凭证书 (NZPF Diploma in Commercial Floristry), 完成 Level 4 后可继续攻读文凭; 此外还提供 Masters 等级评估. 二级和三级证书则由新西兰开放理工学院 (Open Polytechnic) 通过网络课程提供. 协会证书同时获得新西兰皇家园艺学会 (Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture, RNZIH) 认可盖章, 行业内也被 Interflora 视为新西兰花艺师水准的标杆; 文凭证书上还印有双方的认证标识.
考试与培训
考试报名以单元 (Unit) 形式购买, 每单元 95 新西兰元 (含 GST), 五年前有效. Level 4 包含八个单元 (Wedding Design / Hair & Body Flowers / Sympathy Designs / Bouquets / Basket Arrangement / Floral Arrangements / Open Textbook / Written Paper), Diploma 包含六个单元. 评估在每年若干考试日进行, 笔试 NZPF 004 与 NZPF 0010 安排在每年七月第一个星期六, 各地安排就近考场; 作业 (Assignment) 则分 1 月 31 日与 7 月 31 日两次递交. 所有考生都鼓励参加考前六周举办的 Pre-Assessment 研讨会, 配合在职训练与暑期学校、设计周末工作坊和比赛完成备考.
资源与刊物
协会出版会员刊物 NZPF Floral News and Inspiration, 每年定期发布, 通报考试日程、培训工作坊及行业动态. 此外发行三类实物教材, 全部含 GST: NZPF Handbook (花艺术语与设计风格手册, 25 新西兰元), NZPF Colour Wheel (带可转动色环, 便于识别色彩搭配, 20 新西兰元), NZPF Wiring Illustration Guidelines (插图丰富的花艺铁丝工艺指南, 25 新西兰元). 网站同时提供入会申请、Logo 使用申请、试卷购买等表格下载, Facebook (NzpfNewZealandProfessionalFloristsInc) 与 Instagram (@nzpflorist) 也会同步发布活动信息.
Short History
The New Zealand Professional Florists Inc. (NZPF) traces its roots to the Society of New Zealand Professional Floral Artists Inc., founded in 1930 with its first Annual Meeting held on 25 June 1931. The founding membership of seven was by invitation only, and an examination system was first attempted in 1935, formalised at the 1939 Annual Meeting. Examinations were suspended during the Second World War and resumed in 1946, after which the Diploma examination became the standard entry qualification. In 1974 the Society broadened its membership by admitting florists from Interflora Pacific Unit and Teleflower and adopted the name Society of New Zealand Professional Florists Incorporated. A further restructuring in 1996 opened membership to all professional florists and brought the current name, NZPF Inc., into use.
Mission and Organisation
NZPF is a non-profit organisation whose sole purpose is to raise the national standard of floristry in New Zealand. Its guiding motto is Strive for Excellence, Achieve Professionalism. The Association is governed by a voluntary Executive of seven members. The current Board comprises President Celeste Shotter (Dip.NZPF, Copseford Flowers), Vice-President Debra Kinnaird (Dip.NZPF, Fleur by DK Design), Assessment Coordinator Megan Parker (NZPF Dip.MF, Life Member), Diploma Holder Representative Angela Orchiston (Dip.NZPF), Industry Representative Marie Fowler, Secretary/Treasurer Julie Ainsworth, and an Executive seat reserved for Interflora. Qualifications
NZPF runs two on-site qualification levels, the Certificate in Commercial Floristry Level 4 and the NZPF Diploma in Commercial Floristry, with Masters assessment available beyond the Diploma. Levels 2 and 3 are delivered online through the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand. Every NZPF certificate is endorsed by the Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture (RNZIH), and Interflora recognises NZPF as the standard-setting body for New Zealand floristry, with one Executive position reserved on the Board. Both organisations place their identifying marks on the Diploma certificate.
Assessments and Training
Assessment units are purchased individually at NZD 95.00 each (GST inclusive), with a five-year expiry from the date of purchase. Level 4 requires eight units covering Wedding Design, Hair and Body Flowers, Sympathy Designs, Bouquets, Basket Arrangement, Floral Arrangements, an Open Textbook folio and a Written Paper. The Diploma comprises six units on Wedding Design, Arrangement, Wreath or Casket Spray, Interpretive Design, a Written Paper and a Portfolio. The Written Paper (NZPF 004 / NZPF 0010) sits annually on the first Saturday in July at venues close to the candidate, and Assignments are due on 31 January and 31 July each year. Candidates are encouraged to attend the Pre-Assessment seminar held roughly six weeks before Assessment Day, alongside on-job training, summer schools and design weekend workshops.
Resources and Publications
NZPF publishes the membership newsletter NZPF Floral News and Inspiration, which carries Assessment dates, workshop schedules and industry news. Three printed resources are available for purchase at the listed GST-inclusive prices: the NZPF Handbook of terminology and design styles (NZD 25.00), the NZPF Colour Wheel with a movable disk for identifying harmonies (NZD 20.00), and the NZPF Wiring Illustration Guidelines (NZD 25.00). The website also hosts downloadable forms for membership enrolment, Logo usage applications and unit purchases.
