### Overview

J. van Zoest B.V., located at Reijerskoop 148, 2771 BT Boskoop, Netherlands, was founded in 1976 by Lina and Jan van Zoest. Initially growing euonymus, hydrangea, conifers and clematis, the nursery specialized in clematis after acquiring Jan Fopma’s collection in 1996.

Currently approximately 500 clematis cultivars are grown, with about 400 available for sale. The nursery operates its own breeding program, selecting from hundreds of crossings each year, with an average development cycle of 8 years.
