历史由来

Rabben 苗圃（Baumschule Rabben）由 Gerd Rabben 和他的妻子 Renate Rabben 于 1973 年在德国下萨克森州 Westerstede 创立，地处阿默兰（Ammerland）产区的中心地带，是德国西北部最重要的杜鹃花与观赏苗木产区之一。五十多年时间里，苗圃从最初的家庭苗床，逐渐发展成涵盖嫁接、栽培、批发、外销的综合性苗木生产基地，2019 年的版权标识显示其网站已经营至第 17 个年头。

经营规模与生产方式

苗圃自行完成从砧木培育、嫁接、上盆到出货前养护的全链条工作，绝大部分植物都在园内达到可销售规格后才出售，只有少量小苗外购补齐。每年 1 月到 3 月是大批量嫁接的窗口，INKARHO 杜鹃和针叶树是这一时段的两个主力方向。

主打产品包括超过 150 个不同的杜鹃花品种（含耐碱土的 INKARHO 嫁接杜鹃）、改良的落叶观赏树木（Laubgehölze）、品种丰富的针叶树（Koniferen）以及大规格的越桔（Vaccinium），尤其是用于鲜食和园林景观的蓝莓（Heidelbeeren）。除杜鹃主线之外，苗圃同时经营檵木（Berberis）、紫珠（Callicarpa）、冬青（Ilex）、山月桂（Kalmia）、马醉木（Pieris japonica）、茵芋（Skimmia）和夏季花灌木（Sommerblüher）等多类观赏苗木。

History

Baumschule Rabben was founded in 1973 by Gerd Rabben and his wife Renate Rabben in Westerstede, Lower Saxony, in the heart of the Ammerland growing region, one of the most important rhododendron and ornamental nursery districts of northwestern Germany. Over more than five decades the family nursery has expanded from a small set of home plots into an integrated operation covering grafting, growing and wholesale distribution; the website copyright line (2003-2026) confirms well over two decades of continuous trading.

Production and Growing Model

Most plants are propagated, tended and finished on site until they reach saleable sizes; only a small share is sourced in as young plant liners. The main grafting window runs from January to March, when INKARHO rhododendrons and conifers are produced and grafted at scale.

Assortment

Core production includes more than 150 different rhododendron cultivars, including INKARHO lime-tolerant grafted types, an improved range of deciduous ornamental shrubs (Laubgehölze), an extensive conifer assortment (Koniferen) and large-size Vaccinium, especially highbush blueberries (Heidelbeeren) for fresh fruit and landscape use. Alongside the rhododendron focus the nursery also produces Berberis, Callicarpa, Ilex, Kalmia, Pieris japonica, Skimmia and summer-flowering shrubs (Sommerblüher).

INKARHO and the Shrub Brand Family

The nursery’s INKARHO grafted system underpins its identity and feeds a small shrub brand family: HAPPYdendron and Easydendron rhododendrons with more flexible rootstocks, the aromatic DUFThecke PERFUMEhedge hedge line, the low-maintenance Bloombux flower-and-form ball, and Enkianthus for smaller gardens. The whole range carries the umbrella tagline ‘Pflanzenkreationen aus dem Paradies’ (plant creations out of paradise), echoed by the street name Am Paradies 13 on which the nursery sits.

Wholesale Model and Contact

Rabben Baumschulen operates strictly as a wholesale nursery and supplies only to other nurseries (Baumschulen), landscape construction firms (GaLaBau) and garden centers; private customers are not served directly.
