历史沿革

克罗斯·希尔斯花园与苗圃（Cross Hills Gardens & Nursery）由威尔逊家族（Wilson family）精心经营，自开放以来已发展成为新西兰最重要的园艺目的地之一。花园占地7公顷（约17英亩），拥有全球最精美的杜鹃花（Rhododendron）和杜鹃（Azalea）收藏之一。Kimbolton独特的土壤与气候条件，使这里的杜鹃花在每年十月至十一月迎来惊艳的花季盛放，吸引着来自世界各地的园艺爱好者专程前往观赏。

花园特色

克罗斯·希尔斯花园对游客全年365天开放，无论哪个季节都能体验不同的自然魅力——春季的杜鹃与山茶花、夏季的绣球与玉簪、秋季的落叶与暖色、冬季常绿的杜鹃与冬青。花园提供无障碍通道和停车场，方便轮椅使用者和大型巴士停车。花园还为行动不便的游客提供Magic Mini观光车服务，需提前预约。

苗圃与植物中心于每年六月至十二月运营，提供各类园林植物、肥料、树干带和永久标签等丰富产品。花园中心还提供专业的种植建议，涵盖场地选择、遮荫条件、土壤要求、种植技巧、水分管理、病虫害防治、耐寒种植和容器种植等多个主题，帮助不同经验的园艺爱好者实现自己的花园梦想。

年度乡村花园博览会

History

Cross Hills Gardens & Nursery, operated by the Wilson family, has grown to become one of New Zealand’s most important horticultural destinations. The 7-hectare (approximately 17-acre) garden features one of the world’s finest collections of rhododendrons and azaleas. Kimbolton’s unique soil and climate conditions create stunning displays every October and November, drawing gardening enthusiasts from around the world.

Garden Features

The garden is open to visitors 365 days a year, offering different natural charms in every season—from spring rhododendrons and camellias to summer hydrangeas and hostas, autumn foliage, and winter-hardy rhododendrons and hollies. The garden provides wheelchair access and ample parking, with easy coach access. Magic Mini Tour transport is available for visitors with limited mobility by appointment.

Products and Professional Services

The nursery and plant centre operates from June to December each year, offering a wide range of products including various garden plants, fertilizers, tree bands, and permanent labels. The garden centre also provides professional planting advice covering site selection, shade conditions, soil requirements, planting techniques, water management, pest and disease control, warm climate planting, and container gardening.

Annual Country Fair
