公园概况：70 公顷家族林地里的德国最大杜鹃公园

德国下萨克森州林根 (Lingen) 市郊的 Rhododendronpark Hobbie 总面积 70 公顷，被官方认定为德国最大的杜鹃花专类公园，也常被业内称作欧洲最大、最美的杜鹃园之一；园区四周是 Hobbie 家族世代保有的一片老林，从 4 月中旬到 6 月中旬之间，几千株杜鹃和落叶性的 Azalee 沿林缘铺开，花期重叠，花色从纯白、粉红、淡紫一直到深玫红和橙黄都有，公园由家族第三代经营，从林间小径的修缮到每年新引进的品种筛选，都是家族成员亲自打理。

园路系统：10 公里小径与 6 个主题园

公园步道系统总长约 10 公里，其中一条 2.5 公里的环线 (Rundweg) 串联起六个主题园区，沿途设长椅供游客停留——Schaugarten 展示园集中展示本地能够栽培的杜鹃原生种和杂交品种，可以一次性对照花色、叶形、株型差异；Wildartengarten 野生种园对比不同原产地的野生杜鹃，杜鹃属 (Rhododendron) 在全球记录到的野生种大约有 1000 个，从株高不足 30 cm、叶长不到 1 cm 的地被型，到叶片可达 1 m 长的乔木型都有涵盖；Yakushimanum-Garten 屋久岛园收集来自日本九州屋久岛 (Yakushima) 海拔 1000-1900 m 高山带的 Yaku 杂交品系，这类杜鹃以耐晒、株型紧凑著称，是欧洲花园阳面花境的常见选择；Barfußpfad 与 Stammschönheiten 树状杜鹃之路穿越高达 12 m 的树状杜鹃林下通道，呈现只有在野外原生境才能见到的老桩奇姿；Azaleengarten 落叶杜鹃园收集落叶性 (laubabwerfend) Azalea 原生种与杂交成果，弥补常绿杜鹃在亮黄色和橙色系上的缺失；Waldlehrpfad 森林教学径为成人与儿童讲解当地原生植物群落和林相演替——环线走到尽头要经过一条小溪 (Bäke)，之后约 700 m 是一处带长椅的人工池塘，可坐下休息后再折返。

苗圃规模：80 年家族传承、近 600 个品种稳定供应

与公园同址的 Baumschule Hobbie 由家族经营至今已 80 余年，专做杜鹃与 Azalea 繁殖和批发，苗圃现售品种接近 600 个，其中约 90% 是田间露地栽培的球根苗 (Ballenware)，即植株是在无过量施肥的田里慢慢长成的，根系扎实、土球紧实，移植到黏重或偏碱性土壤条件下也能正常缓苗，植株最高可达 5 m 左右，可单独发货或经货运送达，主要面向私人买家与再销售商；苗圃从 1950 年代初就开始向美国发货，目前在售品种与展示园种植名单不完全一致，展示园是长期定植的样品，苗圃清单才是零售目录，苗圃开放时间是周一至周五 8:00–13:00，需要预约和预先下单，不接受现场随选，花季 (4 月中至 6 月中) 期间，游客每天 9:30–18:00 可在公园内见到部分在售植株并直接购买。

网店与邮寄：覆盖全球的杜鹃邮寄业务

不想到现场提货的买家可通过网店下单，订单处理后会发订单确认，若所选品种断货，会在邮件中推荐替代品种并征求买家意见；运输途径分两条，标准大小植株走德国邮政包裹，大型 Solitär 单株 (可达 5 m) 走货运公司 (Spedition)，两者都由苗圃打包后直接送达，运输破损极少且植株已保险；苗圃对清单外的落叶乔木、针叶树等也可代为采购，依托多年的同行协作网络解决。

活动设施：Orangerie 玻璃厅与 Park-Café

Park Overview — 70 Hectares, Germany’s Largest Rhododendron Park Inside a Family Forest

Rhododendronpark Hobbie sits on the outskirts of Lingen, Lower Saxony, Germany. The 70-hectare grounds hold what is officially recognised as Germany’s largest rhododendron collection, and within the European horticultural trade it is commonly cited as one of the largest and most diverse on the continent. The park is encircled by an old family-owned forest, and from mid-April through mid-June, several thousand rhododendrons and deciduous azaleas bloom in succession — white, pink, lilac, deep rose and warm orange tones layered together. The site has been in family hands since its founding and is currently managed by the third generation, with hands-on involvement from family members in path maintenance and new-cultivar selection each season.

Path Network — A 10-Kilometre System Linking Six Themed Gardens

The path system totals roughly 10 kilometres, with a 2.5-kilometre loop (Rundweg) tying together six themed gardens and providing benches at regular intervals. The Schaugarten is a comparative display garden where rhododendron species and hybrid cultivars growing well in this climate can be compared side by side for flower colour, leaf form and growth habit. The Wildartengarten is a wild-species garden; the genus Rhododendron contains roughly 1,000 recognised wild species worldwide, ranging from ground-cover forms under 30 cm tall with leaves under 1 cm long, to tree-form specimens with leaves up to 1 m long. The Yakushimanum-Garten holds a collection of cultivars derived from the Yaku hybrid stock, which traces to high-elevation (1000–1900 m) populations on Yakushima, a Japanese island off the southern tip of Kyushu; these cultivars are widely planted in European gardens on south-facing borders for their sun tolerance and compact habit. The Barfußpfad and Stammschönheiten form a path crossing beneath tree-form rhododendrons up to 12 m tall, displaying the gnarled, antique forms normally seen only at natural forest sites. The Azaleengarten collects deciduous azaleas (botanically rhododendrons), filling in the bright yellow and orange tones that evergreen rhododendrons lack. The Waldlehrpfad is a forest education trail introducing the local native flora and forest succession to adults and children. Beyond the loop the path crosses the small Bäke stream, then continues about 700 m to a man-made pond with benches, an easy resting point before the return walk.

Nursery Scale — 80 Years of Family Production, Nearly 600 Cultivars

The Baumschule Hobbie on the same grounds has been family-run for over 80 years and specialises in rhododendron and azalea propagation. The current retail list approaches 600 cultivars. Around 90 % of the stock is grown as field-produced balled plants (Ballenware) — raised slowly in open soil without heavy fertilisation, which gives them dense, healthy root balls and reliable establishment even on heavier or less-than-ideal garden soils. Mature specimen plants up to roughly 5 m are available and can be shipped individually or via freight. The nursery has been shipping plants to the United States since the early 1950s, and today the retail catalogue is the authoritative list of what is for sale — the in-park plantings are long-term specimens rather than the full current stock. Nursery opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00–13:00, by appointment and with orders placed in advance; walk-in selection is not offered. During the bloom season (mid-April to mid-June) visitors can browse part of the in-park stock daily from 9:30 to 18:00 and purchase plants on site.

Online Shop and Shipping — Worldwide Delivery from Lower Saxony

Customers who cannot collect on site can order through the online shop. Each order is acknowledged by email, and any out-of-stock items are flagged with suggested substitute cultivars. Standard-sized plants ship by parcel post; large solitaires up to 5 m ship by freight (Spedition). In both cases the nursery packs and dispatches the plants directly. Damage in transit is rare, and plants remain insured. Deciduous trees, conifers and other landscape stock not listed in the catalogue can also be sourced through the nursery’s network of partner growers.

Event Facilities — The Orangerie Glasshouse and the Park-Café

The on-site Orangerie glasshouse hall opened in summer 2018 with views across the park and now hosts events: weddings, family celebrations and corporate functions can all be booked here. Together with the adjacent Park-Café, the venue provides around 199 indoor seats and more than 300 outdoor seats. The 2026 season programme lists a Candlelight concert series, an arts-and-crafts market, Qi Gong sessions and a large water-feature light show at the Orangerie during the bloom season. The park is open to the public throughout the bloom season, and opening hours shift with the season — the latest announcements are posted in the Aktuelles section of the homepage.
