苗圃拥有约 1,200 平方米的温室，主要用于扦插繁殖、零售店面以及冬季储存。户外部分包括约 1,000 平方米的展示苗床（覆盖杂草抑制布并配有喷淋系统）以及新租赁的 1,300 平方米地块，用于培育耐寒的大规格杜鹃——这部分苗木直接种在高床（højbede）里越冬，仅做防风防干处理，不必移入温室，新地块预计需要两到三年才能填满。

About the Nursery

Rhodo Roskilde ApS is a specialist rhododendron nursery near Copenhagen, Denmark, founded in the summer of 2007 by Vermund Rust Christensen. Located in Taastrup on the western outskirts of the capital, the nursery serves customers across Copenhagen and the wider Sjælland (Zealand) region. Its core focus is rhododendron and other acid-loving (surbund) plants, complemented by a full range of sphagnum peat products. The nursery typically keeps 4,000–5,000 rhododendron plants in stock spanning 350–400 cultivars, most available year-round.

Product Range and Sourcing

The business can be divided into three main product lines: finished rhododendron plants ranging from small 1–2 year-old seedlings to large, instantly impactful specimens; sphagnum peat and accessories for building acid-soil beds; and pairing plants such as trees, shrubs, and ground cover so customers can complete a bed in one visit. All sales are pickup-only at the nursery (afhentes). The nursery follows a hybrid model of in-house propagation (seed, cuttings, and grafts) and external sourcing from a major German supplier and two Danish growers.

Facilities

Outdoor areas comprise about 1,000 m² of display beds covered with weed-suppressing fabric and irrigated by sprinklers, plus a recently leased 1,300 m² plot dedicated to hardy large-format rhododendrons grown in raised beds (højbede) where they overwinter in place with only wind and desiccation protection. The new plot is expected to take two to three years to fill.
