历史由来
Boutiguéry 庄园位于法国布列塔尼大区 (Bretagne) 菲尼斯泰尔省 (Finistère) 南部, 贡埃纳克 (Gouesnac’h) 镇波梅尤 (Pors-Meillou) 河口处, 在坎佩尔 (Quimper) 中世纪老城与贝诺代 (Bénodet) 海滨浴场之间。庄园最早的记载出现在 18 世纪中叶, 当时这片土地归属博迪尼奥 (Bodinio) 领主, 后来几经易手; 1841 年, 查理·菲代尔·德·凯雷 (Charles Fidèle de Kerret) 夫妇将其与朗尼龙 (Lanniron) 庄园合并经营, 由建筑师丹尼斯与欧仁·比勒 (Denis et Eugène Bühler) 兄弟负责园林规划, 公用建筑在 1867 年动工, 1872 年正式移交给他们的儿子卡尔 (Carl), 此后庄园一直由凯雷家族后裔即现业主德·拉·萨布利耶 (de la Sablière) 家族继承, 至今已传至第六代。
园区概况
庄园坐落在奥代河 (Odet) 左岸「Vire-Courts」曲流上方约 40 米处, 整座英式园林占地 20 多公顷, 沿山势起伏展开, 拥有杜鹃花与落叶杜鹃 4 万余株、各类山茶花数百株, 以及木兰、巨杉、紫藤等数十种观赏乔灌木。园中分两条环形步道: 北侧步道环绕原有 19 世纪马厩与砖窑遗址, 南侧步道穿过松林与木兰山谷, 沿河段可远眺对岸的圣卡杜湾 (Anse de St Cadou) 罗马时期烽火台遗迹。每年 4 月下旬至 5 月底是盛花期, 6 月前仍有紫藤与晚花杜鹃接续, 整座公园的色彩期可持续到秋初。
苗圃与杂交育种
苗圃部分由克里斯蒂安·德·拉·萨布利耶 (Christian de la Sablière) 自 1960 年代起逐步积累, 他是布列塔尼杜鹃花协会 (Société Bretonne du Rhododendron, 与 Marc Colombel 于 1993 年共同创立) 的创始成员之一, 每年在庄园内增植约 1500 株新苗。1987 年一场飓风摧毁了原有林地与花园, 反而促使园主开始系统的杂交实验, 与邻近的马克·科隆布 (Marc Colombel) 合作培育四倍体杜鹃与落叶杜鹃新品系, 已成功推向商品化推广, 部分品种在庄园自营的 400 平方米温室中培育并对外销售。
景观设计与活动
庄园的景观设计业务由业主之女维尔日尼·德·拉·萨布利耶 (Virginie de la Sablière) 主管, 她在昂热 (Angers) 完成园艺与景观设计 BTS 文凭后于 2010 年加入家族事业。除私人庭园委托外, 庄园定期举办瑜伽与音乐冥想工作坊、篮编工作坊 (与布列塔尼工艺师 Julie Dupuy / Boutok 合作)、植物学讲座、园艺亲子活动与节令季节性晚宴; 园内自 2025 年 4 月起设有 Séquoïa 有机咖啡简餐厅, 营业时间为周三至周日 10 时至 18 时。
开放与参观
庄园与苗圃在 3 月至 9 月间向公众开放, 每日 10 时至 18 时 (3 月与 6—9 月周一、周二闭园, 4 月与 5 月含公共假日在内全周开放), 团体参观 20 人起, 须提前邮件预约; 个人参观可在开放时段直接购票入场。门票按季节分档, 详细价目可在本站预订页面查询; 庄园允许牵绳宠物入园, 园区石阶小径不适宜轮椅与婴儿车全程通行, 但温室与咖啡馆区域设有无障碍入口。
History and Family
Domaine de Boutiguéry sits in the commune of Gouesnac’h, southern Finistère, Brittany (Bretagne), on the left bank of the Odet river near the Pors-Meillou inlet, between the medieval town of Quimper and the seaside resort of Bénodet. The estate first appears in the historical record in the mid-18th century, when it was part of the Seigneurie de Bodinio; ownership changed hands several times until Charles Fidèle de Kerret and his wife Félicie Le Feuvre de la Faluère acquired it in 1841 and merged it with their neighbouring Lanniron property. Landscape architects Denis and Eugène Bühler drew up the original park plan, the outbuildings were started in 1867, and on 8 February 1872 the property was transferred to their son Carl, who founded the line now continued by the de la Sablière family, the current owners.
The Park
Set about 40 metres above the “Vire-Courts” meander of the Odet, the 20-hectare English-style park holds more than 40,000 rhododendrons and azaleas, several hundred camellias, magnolias, mature sequoias, wisteria and dozens of other ornamental trees and shrubs. Two loop walks are open to visitors: one around the 19th-century stables and the old brickworks in the north, the other through the pine wood and magnolia grove in the south, with viewpoints over the Roman-era fire-tower site on the opposite bank of the Anse de St Cadou. Peak flowering runs from late April through May, with wisteria and late rhododendrons carrying colour into June and the foliage holding interest into early autumn.
Nursery and Hybridisation
The collection nursery has been built up since the 1960s by Christian de la Sablière, the present owner’s father, who co-founded the Société Bretonne du Rhododendron with Marc Colombel in 1993. Roughly 1,500 new plants are added to the park each year. A devastating hurricane in 1987 destroyed much of the existing woodland and prompted the family to begin systematic hybridisation work; several tetraploid rhododendron and mollis azalea cultivars developed here have since entered commercial production and are raised in the estate’s own 400 m² greenhouse for sale to visitors.
Landscape Services and Events
Day-to-day landscape design is run by Virginie de la Sablière, Christian’s daughter, who joined the estate in 2010 after completing a BTS in landscape architecture at Angers. Beyond private garden commissions, the estate hosts a regular programme of yoga and sound-meditation workshops, basketry classes with artisan Julie Dupuy (Boutok), botanical talks and family gardening events, plus seasonal dinners. The on-site Séquoïa organic café-restaurant opened in April 2025 and serves from Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 18:00.
Visiting
The park and nursery are open to the public from March to September, 10:00 to 18:00 daily (closed Mondays and Tuesdays in March and June to September; open every day in April and May including bank holidays). Group visits start at 20 people and require advance booking by email; individual visitors can buy tickets on arrival. Admission is set seasonally and the up-to-date prices are listed on the official website’s booking page. Dogs on leads are welcome; many of the paths include stone steps and are not fully accessible to wheelchairs or pushchairs, though the greenhouse and café area have level access.
