The breeding of the Roselily started in 1993 and mainly focused on the cut flower market. Each variety goes through a strict selection process in which the breeder pays attention to the strength and shelf life of the variety. From the grower to the consumer, the goal of this program is to produce consistently strong, vibrant, double-flowering Orientals that are also pollen-free.
This unique breeding program is conducted by a cooperative of fifteen flower bulb growers. These expert cultivators start by ensuring the starting material is virus-free which will then lead to the most successful propagation of the Roselilies.
