机构概况
马来西亚景观设计师协会（ILAM，原名 ALAM）成立于 1981 年 9 月 24 日，1987 年 12 月 14 日改用现名，是马来西亚全国性的景观设计行业协会，代表超过一千名注册会员。总部位于吉隆坡，致力于推动马来西亚境内建成环境与自然环境的规划、设计与管护工作。
历史沿革
1981 年 9 月 24 日，业内同行以「马来西亚景观建筑同业」（Angkatan Landskap Arkitek Malaysia，简称 ALAM）名义成立协会；1982 年加入马来西亚专业中心（Balai Ikhtisas Malaysia，BIM）；1984 年 9 月 26 日于匈牙利肖弗克举行的第 22 届国际景观建筑师联盟（IFLA）世界大会上被接纳为 IFLA 成员，同年加入国际自然保护联盟（IUCN）；2009 年 12 月 9 日加入马来西亚绿色建筑联合会（MGBC）。
业务范畴
协会的核心业务涵盖专业持续教育（CPD）、马来西亚景观建筑奖（MLAA）、专业执业课程与考试（KAIAL）、景观建筑教育认证支援、国家景观月（3 月）、世界景观月（4 月）、年度晚宴、行业讲座与培训、行业考察与对外交流，以及由 ILAM–PBF 合作开展的研究项目等。会员类别包括公司会员（Corporate Member）、毕业会员（Graduate Member）、准会员（Associate Member）、学生会员（Student Member）与海外会员（Foreign Member）五类。
国际合作
协会是国际景观建筑师联盟（IFLA）亚太区的活跃成员，历任成员曾在 IFLA 担任亚太区司库（2004-2008，Mustafa Kamal Mohd Shariff 教授）、IFLA 副主席（2012-2014，Dato’ LAr. Ismail Ngah）等职务，2025 至 2027 年间 LAr. Teng Pe Yang 担任 IFLA 亚太区对外传播主席。2009 年加入马来西亚绿色建筑联合会（MGBC），与本地建筑、工程、规划行业保持长期协作。

ILAM 年度活动包括马来西亚景观建筑奖（MLAA）颁奖、Kopitiam Open Studio 系列线上访谈、Sustainable Landscape Asia Conference（SLA）以及与世界景观月同步举办的全国性行业项目。出版方面，《MyNBS Digest：马来西亚景观建筑 20 项自然为本解决方案精选》展示本地景观建筑实践对气候适应、生物多样性修复与社区福祉的贡献。客户可通过 ILAM 官方网站的会员与咨询通道查询入会、注册及执业考试等事项。
Overview
The Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM), originally named Angkatan Landskap Arkitek Malaysia (ALAM), was founded on 24 September 1981 and adopted its present name on 14 December 1987. It is the national professional association for landscape architects in Malaysia, representing more than 1,000 registered members. Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, ILAM leads the stewardship, planning, and design of built and natural environments across the country.
History
ILAM was founded on 24 September 1981 under the name ALAM by professionals, semi-professionals, students and private individuals sharing a passion for organised green space. In 1982 it joined the Malaysian Professional Centre (Balai Ikhtisas Malaysia, BIM). International recognition came in 1984, when ILAM was admitted to the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) at the 22nd IFLA World Congress in Szofok, Hungary, and to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) the same year. It joined the Malaysia Green Building Confederation (MGBC) on 9 December 2009.
Programmes
Core programmes include Continuing Professional Development (CPD), the Malaysia Landscape Architecture Awards (MLAA), the Professional Practice Course and Examination (KAIAL), accreditation support for landscape architecture programmes, the ILAM–PBF Research Programme, the National Landscape Month (March), World Landscape Architecture Month (April), the ILAM Annual Gala Dinner, and seminars, study tours and courtesy calls. Membership comprises Corporate, Graduate, Associate, Student and Foreign Members.
International Relations
ILAM has held senior roles within IFLA Asia Pacific: Prof. LAr. Dr. Mustafa Kamal Mohd Shariff served as IFLA Eastern (later Asia-Pacific) Regional Treasurer from 2004 to 2008; Dato’ LAr. Ismail Ngah served as IFLA Vice President from 2012 to 2014; LAr. Teng Pe Yang chairs IFLA Asia Pacific Communications and External Relations from 2025 to 2027. ILAM has also been a member of MGBC since 2009.
Activities and Publications
Recurring activities include the MLAA awards, Kopitiam Open Studio interview series, the Sustainable Landscape Asia Conference and projects marking World Landscape Architecture Month. MyNBS Digest: Malaysia’s 20 Leading Nature-based Solutions in Landscape Architecture, curated by ILAM, showcases exemplary local projects linking climate resilience, biodiversity restoration and community well-being.
