Rosen-Stange is a family nursery operated as an Einzelunternehmen by Sven Stange. The business sits in Ellerhoop, in the Schleswig-Holstein county of Pinneberg’s historic Baumschulgebiet — the largest contiguous nursery region in northern Germany, around 30 km north-west of Hamburg. The nursery was first registered as an Einzelunternehmen and holds a European VAT identification number, following the German small-business tax rules. After absorbing the earlier Rosarot Rosenversand, the family now sells through both the rosen-stange.de and rosenversand24.de domains from the same address. The combination of sandy-loam soil and a cool North Sea climate suits rose propagation particularly well; in summer the surrounding fields turn into long strips of flowering roses that have become a seasonal landmark.
Range and Variety Catalogue
The catalogue holds around 240 rose cultivars at any given time, with 51 new additions joining each season.
