北京市园林设计工程有限公司经北京市园林绿化局（原北京市林业局）批准，于 1989 年成立，最初作为分管北京市市属国有林场和苗圃的事业单位，承担华北地区林木种苗的引种、培育与调配工作。2000 年，公司被列为北京市园林绿化局系统创新现代企业制度试点单位之一，由事业单位改制为国有资产参股的民营企业。改制后，公司围绕园林景观设计、施工、绿化养护、古建工程、苗木生产等业务持续投入，逐步发展为一家全产业链专业性园林企业。

苗圃基地与苗木资源
公司在北京郊区建设有大东流、黄垡、一鸣苑、北房四个总面积千余亩的大型苗木基地。苗圃选址位于昌平大东流的北方国家级林木种苗示范基地和大兴黄垡的国家彩叶树种良种基地附近，土壤环境与交通条件均较为优越。基地设有专业化的产、供、销一体化管理部，配有植物引种驯化、种植养护方面的园艺技师和技工，对苗木培育、栽种、养护、施肥、打药、节水灌溉等环节实行标准化作业。在圃品种包括银杏、栾树、白蜡、元宝枫、法桐、云杉、油松、白皮松、华山松、龙柏等北方常用树种，除满足华北地区的绿化工程需要外，也向河北、河南、山西乃至全国各地供应苗木。

Company Profile and Historical Evolution
Beijing Landscape Design Engineering Co., Ltd. was established in 1989 under the approval of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Landscape and Greening (formerly the Beijing Forestry Bureau), initially as a public institution in charge of municipal state-owned forest farms and nurseries. In 2000, the company was selected as a pilot unit for the modernisation of enterprise systems under the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Landscape and Greening, and was restructured from a public institution into a private enterprise with state-owned equity participation. After the restructuring, the company gradually developed into a full-industry-chain landscaping enterprise covering landscape design, construction, greening maintenance, classical architecture engineering and nursery production.
Qualification System and Business Scope
The company holds a first-class qualification for urban landscape greening construction, a special grade-A qualification for landscape architecture engineering design, and a third-class qualification for classical architecture engineering. It has also obtained ISO quality management system certification, ISO environmental management system certification, and OHSMS occupational health and safety management system certification. The company is a member unit of the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture and a council member of the Beijing Landscape and Greening Industry Association, and has been recognised as a credit-worthy enterprise by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Landscape and Greening for eight consecutive years. Nursery Bases and Plant Resources
The company has built four large-scale nursery bases covering a total area of more than one thousand mu in the suburbs of Beijing: Dadongliu, Huangfa, Yimingyuan and Beifang. The nurseries are located near the Northern National-Level Forest Tree Seedling Demonstration Base at Dadongliu in Changping District and the National-Colour-Leaf Tree Seed Base at Huangfa in Daxing District, where the soil and transport conditions are favourable. The bases are managed by a specialised production-supply-marketing department, supported by horticulture technicians engaged in plant introduction, cultivation and maintenance. Available species include ginkgo, goldenrain tree, ash, trident maple, plane tree, spruce, Chinese pine, lacebark pine, Armand pine, Chinese juniper and other common northern tree species, supplying projects not only across the North China region but also in Hebei, Henan, Shanxi and other parts of the country.

The company brings together a sizable team of professional technical and management personnel, supported by relatively complete equipment and facilities and a modern enterprise management system. It pursues an operating model emphasising standardisation, scaling, specialisation and market orientation.
