学校沿革与办学定位
安徽农业大学坐落于安徽省省会合肥，办学历史悠久、底蕴深厚，是安徽建校最早的高等学府之一。学校肇始于 1928 年在当时的省府安庆创办的省立安徽大学，1946 年更名为国立安徽大学，1949 年成建制迁往芜湖并更名为安徽大学；1954 年安徽大学被拆分为安徽师范学院和安徽农学院，独立办学的安徽农学院由芜湖迁至合肥，1995 年正式更名为安徽农业大学，迄今已积淀近百年的农林教育传统。
学科建设与人才培养规模
学校现下设学院（部）20 个，全日制普通在校生 29704 人，其中硕士、博士研究生 7027 人；在职教职工 2384 人，其中专任教师 1497 人（副高以上职称占比 63.7%），汇聚国家级人才 57 人、省级人才 299 人次。现有 ESI 全球前 1‰ 学科 2 个、前 1% 学科 7 个、国家重点（培育）学科 1 个、安徽省“双一流”培育学科 1 个、安徽省高峰学科 4 个，7 个一级学科博士后科研流动站、11 个一级学科博士学位授权点；累计为国家培养了 40 万余名“强农先锋、社会英才”。
科研平台与标志性成果
学校坚持有组织科研，建有茶树种质创新与资源利用全国重点实验室、作物抗逆育种与减灾国家地方联合工程实验室等国家级和省部级科研平台 100 个。“十四五”以来主持获国家科技进步奖二等奖 1 项、全国农牧渔业丰收奖一等奖 1 项、安徽省重大科技成就奖 1 项、安徽省科技进步奖一等奖 5 项；以第一单位发表中科院一区论文 1200 余篇（其中 CNS 子刊 15 篇），选育国家级新品种 35 个、省级新品种 79 个，牵头制定国际标准 2 项。
大别山道路与社会服务
学校矢志强农报国，不断拓展育人兴校、富民强农、校地协同的“大别山道路”，服务支撑全省 60% 以上县域农业主导特色产业转型升级；与地方合作共建综合试验站 8 个、特色试验站 32 个、科技小院 199 个，牵头联合 283 家龙头企业组建乡村振兴企业战略联盟，牵头联合省内 58 家高校组建全省乡村建设高校联盟，探索形成了“一站一盟一中心”的校县共建机制和“四体融合”的新型农业科技推广服务模式。
国际化办学与文化标识
学校大力实施国际化办学战略，先后与 30 多个国家和地区的高校、科研院所建立了稳定的合作关系，获批“接受中国政府奖学金来华留学生院校”、国家示范型国际科技合作基地及农业农村部农业涉外培训教学基地。学校弘扬“奉献 创新 奋斗”的安农精神，凝练“脚踏实地”的校训，积淀“团结 勤奋 求实 创新”的校风，培养面向中国式现代化美好安徽建设的时代新人。
University History and Positioning
Anhui Agricultural University (AHU) is located in Hefei, the capital city of Anhui Province, and is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in the province. The university traces its origins to the Provincial Anhui University founded in 1928 in Anqing, was renamed National Anhui University in 1946, relocated to Wuhu in 1949, and was restructured into Anhui Agricultural College in 1954. After moving to Hefei, it received its current name Anhui Agricultural University in 1995, carrying nearly a century of agricultural and forestry educational tradition.
Disciplines and Talent Cultivation
The university comprises 20 colleges and departments, with 29,704 full-time enrolled students (including 7,027 master’s and doctoral candidates) and 2,384 faculty and staff members, including 1,497 full-time teachers (63.7% holding senior professional titles). It has gathered 57 national-level talents and 299 provincial-level talents. AHU hosts 2 ESI top 1 per mille disciplines, 7 ESI top 1% disciplines, 1 nationally cultivated key discipline, 7 postdoctoral research stations, and 11 first-level doctoral degree programs. To date, it has cultivated more than 400,000 graduates serving agriculture and society.
Research Platforms and Achievements
AHU maintains 100 national and provincial scientific research platforms, including the National Key Laboratory for Tea Plant Germplasm Innovation and Resource Utilization and the National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Crop Stress Resistance Breeding and Disaster Mitigation. Since the 14th Five-Year Plan period, AHU has won 1 Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 First Prize of the National Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Harvest Award, and 1 Anhui Major Science and Technology Achievement Award. Faculty have published more than 1,200 first-tier Chinese Academy of Sciences papers (including 15 CNS sub-journal articles) as first authors.
Dabie Mountain Road and Social Service
Committed to strengthening agriculture and serving the nation, AHU has developed the distinctive “Dabie Mountain Road” integrating talent cultivation, industrial development and university-region collaboration. The university supports the transformation and upgrading of agricultural leading industries in more than 60% of county-level regions across Anhui Province, co-builds 8 comprehensive experimental stations, 32 specialized stations and 199 science and technology courtyards with local governments. It leads an agricultural revitalization strategic alliance of 283 leading enterprises and a province-wide rural construction alliance of 58 universities.
Internationalization and Cultural Identity
AHU actively pursues international development, establishing stable cooperative relationships with universities and research institutes in more than 30 countries and regions. It is designated as a Chinese Government Scholarship recipient institution, a National Demonstration Base for International Science and Technology Cooperation, and a Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Foreign Training Base. Carrying forward the AHU spirit of “Dedication, Innovation, Endeavor” and the motto of “Down-to-Earth”, the university cultivates new-era talents for the modernization of Anhui Province and beyond.
