Origins and company history
ECOstyle traces its roots to 1967 in the Netherlands, when founder Jan Zwart and three partners began trading agricultural solutions built on naturally derived active ingredients. Concerned that conventional agrochemicals were eroding soil life and crop resilience, they sought alternatives that would let farmers cultivate responsibly. The product line later expanded into private horticulture, and by the 1990s had reached household gardens, allotments and lawns across Northern Europe. The Nordic operation is run from the Funen office at Hvidkærvej 17, 5250 Odense SV, registered under CVR 18929007.
Danish office and organisation

Outdoor cleaning includes concentrated moss (mos) and algae (alger) removers for stone, tile and wooden decking. The weed range targets common Danish offenders such as dandelions (mælkebøtter), thistles (tidsler), ground elder (skvalderkål) and stinging nettles (brændenælder), offered as ready-to-use and concentrate formats.
Where to buy and the annual Havedrøm campaign
Retail products are generally not sold direct; instead they are stocked by local garden centres, hardware chains and supermarkets, and by partner webshops. The store-finder page (Find butik) on the official site lists addresses across Denmark. Direct purchase is reserved for nematodes and other short-shelf-life items that require special storage. Each year the company runs the Havedrøm (Garden Dream) scheme supporting one reader’s garden project; in 2023 it received more than 1,000 applications.
