德国茶花协会 DKG – 长期在欧洲推广茶花的栽培、繁育与文化传播

历史由来

德国茶花协会（Deutsche Kameliengesellschaft e.V.）于1992年由国际茶花协会（ICS）德国分部的一些成员发起成立，是一家在德国登记的非营利性协会。协会立足于茶花属（Camellia）这一观赏植物类群，长期在欧洲推广茶花的栽培、繁育与文化传播。

宗旨与活动

协会的工作围绕山茶花属展开，包括：传播山茶花栽培与养护的实践经验；推动会员之间、与国内外专业机构及研究单位的交流；组织种子、插条与植株的交换；支持科学研究与出版；与全球其他山茶花协会、特别是国际茶花协会（ICS）保持协作；并支持区域性小组的组建与活动。

会刊出版

协会自1994年起出版会刊《Camellia》，内容包含会员的栽培心得、专家撰写的种植建议、植物品种介绍、旅行游记，以及对其他山茶花协会动态的报道。早期部分往期刊物仍可向协会办事处索取。

会员与年度大会

协会现有约300名会员，分布于德国各地和欧洲邻近国家，会员包括专业种植者与业余爱好者。每年在不同德国城市举行一次会员大会，结合参观当地茶花收藏与植物园，例如曼海姆Luisenpark和科隆植物园（两处均获国际茶花协会授予的”Garden of Excellence”称号）。在德国西部和西南部还活跃着若干由会员自发组成的区域性小组，定期举办聚会与考察。

组织协作

协会与多个国际及国家级园艺机构建立合作关系。其与国际茶花协会（ICS）的渊源是协会成立的根基；通过与该协会及各国同类组织的协作，协会参与了多场欧洲范围内的山茶花展览、考察与学术活动。

History

The Deutsche Kameliengesellschaft e.V. (German Camellia Society) was founded in 1992 by a group of members belonging to the German section of the International Camellia Society (ICS). Registered in Germany as a non-profit association, the society centers its activities on the genus Camellia and has long promoted camellia cultivation, propagation, and cultural exchange across Europe.

Aims & Activities

Its work centers on Camellia and covers sharing practical experience on raising and caring for camellias; fostering contacts among members, professional circles, and research institutions at home and abroad; encouraging the exchange of seeds, cuttings, and plants; supporting scientific studies and their publications; cooperating with other camellia societies worldwide, in particular with the ICS; and backing the work of regional groups within Germany.

Society Journal

Since 1994 the society has published its journal “Camellia.” The journal carries members’ cultivation reports, expert growing advice, plant portraits, travel accounts, and notes from camellia societies around the world. A number of older back-issues remain available from the society’s office on request.

Members & Annual Meeting

Today the society counts around 300 members spread across Germany and neighboring European countries, encompassing both professional growers and hobbyists. A general members’ meeting is held once a year in a different German city, always combined with visits to local camellia collections and botanical gardens — recent venues include Mannheim’s Luisenpark and Cologne’s Botanical Garden, both recognized as “Gardens of Excellence” by the International Camellia Society. Active regional groups in western and southwestern Germany meet several times a year for garden visits and informal exchanges.

Cooperation with Other Bodies

The society maintains close ties with both international and national horticultural bodies. Its roots lie with the British-based International Camellia Society (ICS), and through cooperation with the ICS and sister societies abroad it participates in camellia exhibitions, study tours, and academic activities across Europe.
