目前苗圃的独家品牌包括 All American™ Daylilies、Tea Party™ Daylilies、Patriot™ Lantanas、Liberty® Cannas 与 Sunrosa™ Roses。

American Daylily & Perennials is a family-owned commercial perennial nursery based in Grain Valley, Missouri, with 37 years of breeding, growing and trialling daylilies (Hemerocallis) and complementary perennials. The company was founded by Dr. R.J. (Jack) Roberson and his wife Jo in Houston, Texas; in 1988 the field operations were relocated to the Kansas City area. Beyond daylilies the nursery has developed proprietary brands including Patriot™ Lantanas, Liberty® Cannas and Sunrosa™ Roses. The family co-founded and continues to support the All-American Daylily Selection Council (AADSC), the only organisation that tests daylilies across multiple USDA zones in the United States and Canada.
Family Heritage and Breeding Programme
Dr. Jack Roberson’s breeding work produced Black Eyed Stella (PP#7909), the first AADSC-certified All American Daylily in 1993 and still a flagship landscape cultivar. After two decades devoted to hybrid daylilies, Jack launched a parallel breeding line — the Patriot™ Lantana series — which became the first new hybrid lantanas released in more than 15 years and revived public interest in this traditional garden plant. The 1994 introduction of the ultra-compact Florastar Winner Patriot Rainbow marked a step change in the Patriot series’ popularity. Today the nursery’s exclusive brand portfolio comprises All American™ Daylilies, Tea Party™ Daylilies, Patriot™ Lantanas, Liberty® Cannas and Sunrosa™ Roses.
Cultivar Scale and Trial Network
The nursery’s core inventory is built on daylilies spanning evergreen, semi-evergreen and dormant foliage classes, with sub-categories for fragrance, rebloom and exhibition form, complemented by hundreds of lantana, canna and rose cultivars. Every daylily passes through the AADSC multi-zone trial protocol: candidates must outperform more than 7,000 reference cultivars in the top 85% across at least five USDA hardiness zones in the United States and Canada, scored on 52 horticultural characteristics. Liberty® Cannas and Patriot™ Lantanas including Patriot Cherry, Hot Country and Hallelujah have additionally earned Florastar and International Plant Selections (IPS) awards.
Ordering, Shipping and Wholesale System
The nursery serves both retail gardeners and wholesale buyers. Retail customers may request a free printed catalogue via the Request a Catalog page or register an online account; wholesale orders require a 250 USD minimum and are priced in three grades — Single Fan, #1 (one-to-two fan, two-year blooming-sized plant) and Mini Clump (two-to-four fan bare-root equivalent of a finished one-gallon container) — with tiered discounts ranging from roughly USD 5.49 to 8.79 across 10–500+ fan volumes. Shipping seasons are aligned with USDA hardiness zones: daylilies ship from April through November (USDA zones 3–10, with spring planting in zones 4–6, spring or fall in zones 7–8 with fall preferred, and fall planting in zones 9–10); lantanas ship from October through May (USDA zones 3–10, April–July planting in zones 3–8, year-round in zones 9–10).
Grower Support, Guarantee and Community
The website publishes detailed planting and shipping-season guides for daylilies, cannas and lantanas under both commercial-production and home-garden tracks, covering foliage type, soil adaptation, disease tolerance, rebloom behaviour and USDA zone planting calendars. Retail and wholesale catalogues flag AADSC-tested, Exhibition Winner and Landscape Winner designations so buyers can match cultivars to landscape use. All shipments are covered by the Planting & Shipping Seasons guarantee and substitution policy. Wholesale buyers may also source through the authorised network of Robrick Nursery, Park Avenue Farms, Monrovia, Gulley Greenhouse, Possum Run, Yoder-Greenleaf, Wojo’s, Pleasant View and Timbuk Farms, providing national distribution coverage across the United States.
