A&R Spada Farms, LLC is a family-owned and operated nursery located in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, specializing in landscape plants and nursery stock. Now in its fourth generation of the Spada family, the farm cultivates more than 2,000 acres and ships products to 42 U.S. states and 6 Canadian provinces.
Farm Overview
In 1958, Italian-American brothers Arthur Spada and Richard C. Spada formed a partnership combining their separate farming operations in Northeast Portland, Oregon. In the 1960s, as Portland Airport expansion consumed their original land, the family relocated to St. Paul in the fertile Willamette Valley. The farm began with vegetable crops as its mainstay and gradually expanded into nursery stock production. Today the farm employs more than 100 full-time employees plus 30 to 50 seasonal workers.

The farm’s primary product lines include specialty grafted conifers, broadleaf evergreens, and arborvitae. Their signature product is the Baby Blue® Spruce, making A&R Spada Farms the primary supplier of this variety in the United States.
