育种体系与品种分组

苗圃的育种 (Züchtung) 是一项工程化、长周期的投入。每年约进行 10,000 次人工杂交，产生约 100,000 株实生苗，经过约 7 年的选育与试种，每年最终仅有约 3–5 个新品种投入市场。育种工作全部在温控的杂交温室 (Züchtungshaus) 内进行：先去除母本花蕊以防自交，再以毛笔将选定父本花粉授到成熟柱头上，每一组合均编号登记；十月采收受粉后的蔷薇果，十二月沙藏后于温床播种，次年五月首批实生苗开花即进入首轮淘汰选。

商品品种按用途划分为 7 大组：Zwergrosen（矮生月季）、Kleinstrauchrosen（小灌木月季/地被月季）、Beetrosen（花坛月季）、Edelrosen（大花杂交茶香月季）、Strauchrosen（灌木月季）、Kletterrosen（攀缘月季）与 Stammrosen（高杆/树形月季）。此外苗圃有三条自有产品线：All in One® 主打香气与健康、Flower Carpet® 系列（13 个多用途品种）、Medley® 系列；分类上还可按场景细分为 ADR-prämiert（ADR 认证）、Duftrose（芳香）、Farbbeständige Blüte（保色花）、Insektenfreundliche Sorten（昆虫友好）、Hagebuttenschmuck（蔷薇果观赏）、Balkon und Terrasse、Halbschatten（半阴）、Hecken（绿篱）、Hitzeverträglich（耐热）、Öffentliches Grün（公共绿地）等。2026 年夏季上市的 Sugarcane® 等新品种即延续了叶面健康、保色花与耐热的方向。

生产与流通方式

生产 (Produktion) 全部在居特斯洛厂区完成，繁殖方式以 Okulation（芽接）为主流——七月高温时节将选定月季的芽点嵌入野生蔷薇砧木的皮下，依赖砧木高生理活性使皮层易剥。商品形态分两种：wurzelnackte Rosen（裸根苗，五支一捆，附原育种者标签，每年约十月中至次年四月底供应）与 Containerrosen（容器苗，分 Frühjahr 春季版与 Sommer 夏季版，全年可售，配原育种者彩色图签）。容器版使用优质基质配合缓释颗粒肥；植株自然生长节律下培养，根系已穿透基质球，保证消费者收到时即具良好成活势。

销售渠道分两条：Endverkauf 零售直销位于居特斯洛厂区现场，消费者可亲手挑选，并就选种、栽植、养护获得面对面咨询（每年九月第二周起开放，周四至周六营业，秋季可购裸根苗）；Online-Shop 服务德国境内外的私人顾客，裸根苗销售季节约自十月中旬起至次年四月初。批发方面，苗圃与 Baumschulen（苗木场）、Gärtnereien（园艺中心）、GaLaBau（园林工程公司）、城市与社区公用事业等长期合作，单独设有 Großhandel 登录入口，提供 Großabnehmer（大宗采购）专属价目表与个体化报价——版式上保留德语 Baumschule / Gärtnerei / GaLaBau 三个术语以体现行业角色。

About the Nursery and Family Heritage

NOACK ROSEN is a family-owned rose nursery located in Gütersloh, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It was founded in 1953 by Werner Noack as a Sortimentsbaumschule (assortment nursery) originally trading in woody plants. Now in its third generation, with Reinhard Noack as proprietor and Steffen Noack as third-generation Rosenzüchter, the nursery has accumulated three generations of breeding and production expertise. Its slogan “Gesundes Grün und lebendige Schönheit” (Healthy green and vibrant beauty) reflects the focus on leaf-health, reliable blooming, and low-maintenance Gartenrosen (garden roses).

The operating entity is Noack Rosen, Inh. Reinhard Noack, registered in Gütersloh. As a family business it maintains long-standing partnerships with nurseries and licensees worldwide, so its own varieties circulate in international markets. Production is concentrated at the Gütersloh site and emphasizes handwork combined with ecologically mindful methods: plant-protection products are used only as much as necessary, weeds are controlled mechanically or with the Heatweed method, and irrigation is kept resource-friendly.

Breeding System and Variety Groups

Züchtung (breeding) is an engineered, long-cycle investment. Each year the nursery conducts roughly 10,000 hand pollinations, produces about 100,000 seedlings, and after about seven years of selection and trial only around three to five new varieties reach the market. Crossings take place inside the climate-controlled Züchtungshaus: anthers of the seed parent are removed to prevent self-pollination, then pollen from the chosen pollen parent is applied with a brush to the ripe stigma; every combination is numbered and logged. In October the marked hips are harvested, the seeds are stratified and sown on greenhouse benches in December, and by the following May the first seedlings flower — at which point the first negative selection begins.

Commercial varieties are organized into seven groups: Zwergrosen, Kleinstrauchrosen (also used as Bodendeckerrosen), Beetrosen, Edelrosen, Strauchrosen, Kletterrosen, and Stammrosen. The nursery also maintains three own product lines: All in One® (fragrance and health), the Flower Carpet® series of 13 multi-purpose varieties, and the Medley® series. Filters further subdivide by use: ADR-prämiert, Duftrose, Farbbeständige Blüte, Insektenfreundliche Sorten, Hagebuttenschmuck, Balkon und Terrasse, Halbschatten, Hecken, Hitzeverträglich, and Öffentliches Grün. New introductions such as Sugarcane® for summer 2026 continue the leaf-health, color-fastness, and heat-tolerance direction.

Production and Distribution

Produktion (production) is carried out entirely at the Gütersloh site. The main propagation technique is Okulation (budding): in the high heat of July a bud of the chosen variety is inserted under the bark of a wild-rose rootstock, exploiting the rootstock’s high physiological activity. Two commercial formats are offered — wurzelnackte Rosen (bare-root plants, bundled in fives with an original breeder label, available roughly mid-October to end of April) and Containerrosen (potted plants, in Frühjahr and Sommer versions, available year-round, with the breeder’s full-color picture label). Container plants use a high-grade substrate with Depotdünger (slow-release fertilizer); they are not forced, but grown on their natural developmental rhythm with a well-rooted root ball to ensure good establishment for the end customer.

Distribution runs along two channels. Endverkauf (retail on-site) at the Gütersloh site lets private customers browse and receive face-to-face advice on selection, planting, and care (open from the second week of September, Thursday to Saturday; bare-root roses are available again in autumn). The Online-Shop serves private customers across Germany and abroad; bare-root sales run roughly mid-October to early April. On the wholesale side the nursery partners with Baumschulen (nurseries), Gärtnereien (garden centers), GaLaBau (landscape-construction firms), and municipal utilities, with a separate Großhandel login giving Großabnehmer (bulk buyers) exclusive price lists and individual offers. The German terms Baumschule, Gärtnerei, and GaLaBau are retained to convey the three distinct trade roles.

Awards and the ADR Certification System

NOACK ROSEN varieties have received numerous awards at home and abroad, including the Goldene Rose von Den Haag, the Goldmedaille des Rosen-Neuheitenwettbewerbs Baden-Baden, the AARS (All America Rose Selection), the Presidents International Trophy, and gold, silver, and bronze medals at German Bundes- und Landesgartenschauen. In 2024 the new variety Darling® received the Goldene Rose von Baden-Baden; in 2025 Medley® Pastel was awarded the ADR-Prädikat.

ADR (Allgemeine Deutsche Rosenneuheitenprüfung, the General German Rose Novelty Trial) was founded in the mid-1950s by Wilhelm Kordes and is one of Europe’s most authoritative rose-testing systems. Trial varieties are planted in eleven Sichtungsgärten (assessment gardens) spread across Germany from north to south and east to west, cultivated entirely without fungicides, and rated annually over a three-year period on flower effect, fragrance, growth form, floriferousness, winter hardiness, and — most importantly — resistance to leaf diseases. Since its founding more than 2,000 varieties have been tested and only about 10% have received the ADR-Prädikat; from 2018 the ADR title is granted for a fixed fifteen-year term, after which breeders may apply for re-trial or withdraw the variety. Heidetraum® was the first NOACK-bred variety to receive the ADR-Prädikat in 1990, and since then many more have followed, including Apfelblüte®, Balou®, Charisma®, Comedy®, Crescendo®, Debüt®, Deseo®, Evelin®, Flashlight®, Inspiration®, Kesse Lippe®, Little Drummer®, Little Susie®, Ravenna®, Schneeflocke®, Schöne Dortmunderin®, Sedana®, Shining Light®, Sommergold®, Sorrento®, Westart®, and Westzeit®.

Location and Public Resources

The nursery is headquartered in Gütersloh, North Rhine-Westphalia, with its retail and dispatch point also in the city. NOACK ROSEN publishes its own Katalog; the 2025/2026 edition covers all varieties on sale with flower, flowering time, fragrance, growth, leaf-health, and special characteristics, and is available for a small Schutzgebühr (protective fee). Each year the nursery also issues the Ratgebermagazin Rosenpraxis (hands-on guide), with topics including winter protection, pruning, pests and diseases, container cultivation, fertilization, planting season, resistance, summer care, and site selection.
