原料与泥炭减量实践
原料方面, 团体较早引入天然粘土与木纤维作为泥炭替代物, 当前生产用土的泥炭替代比例约 30 体积百分比, 销售用土与园林景观用基质的替代比例约 50 体积百分比, 高于行业平均水平, 持续沿「Prinzip Verantwortung」(责任原则) 品牌方向推进可持续生产。

Einheitserde Werkverband e.V. is a German association of family-owned substrate producers, headquartered in Sinntal-Altengronau, Hesse. It brings together four mid-sized manufacturers that supply professional growing media for ornamental horticulture, nurseries, fruit and vegetable production, and cemetery care, drawing on more than seven decades of combined production experience.
Member Companies and Production Sites
The association currently comprises four member firms: PATZER ERDEN GmbH (Sinntal-Altengronau), Balster Einheitserdewerk GmbH, Einheitserdewerk Uetersen Werner Tantau GmbH & Co. KG (Uetersen, Schleswig-Holstein) and Rostocker Humus und Erden GmbH (Gubkow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern). Each member operates independently while sharing the Einheitserde brand and following common product specifications and quality standards coordinated by the association.
Product Lines and Target Crops
The product range is organised into four application categories: substrates for ornamental plants, nursery trees, vegetable and fruit growing, and cemetery maintenance. The main series include Einheitserde-CLASSIC, Einheitserde-SPECIAL and Einheitserde-Profisubstrate, packaged by each member on its own lines under the shared formulation, with emphasis on in-house raw material sourcing, controlled production and traceable recipes.
Raw Materials and Peat Reduction
On the raw material side, the association was an early adopter of natural clay and wood fibre as peat substitutes. Current production substrates contain roughly 30 percent peat alternatives by volume, while retail substrates and substrates for landscaping reach about 50 percent by volume, both above the industry average, with the “Prinzip Verantwortung” (Responsibility Principle) label guiding ongoing sustainability efforts.

Buyers can submit product inquiries or sample requests through the contact page of the main site; email enquiries can be sent to the association’s published contact mailbox. Each member company also maintains its own contact channel. The association does not sell directly to home gardeners and primarily serves professional growers and landscaping customers.
