历史由来

法国 Cayeux 鸢尾苗圃的母公司 SAS Cayeux 在法国奥尔良商业法庭注册成立, 法人编号 RCS Orléans 302 590 591, 注册资本 9.8 万欧元, 总部位于卢瓦雷省 (Loiret) 波伊雷吉安 (Poilly-lez-Gien) 的 La Carcaudière 庄园。品牌前身最早于 19 世纪末在法国中部卢瓦尔河谷开始种植并销售鸢尾根茎, 至今延续超过一个世纪, 是法国少数能完整保存传统鸢尾育种经验的家族苗圃之一。

园区规模与品种

苗圃每年选育并向市场投放 600 余个鸢尾品种, 涵盖高大型 (Tall Bearded) 的蓝、淡紫、暖黄、铜橙与粉白色调, 中型 (Intermédiaires)、西伯利亚鸢尾 (Iris Sibirica)、斯普利亚 (Spuria) 与水生鸢尾 (Water Iris), 以及迷你矮生 (Lilliputs / Miniature Dwarfs)、历史品种 (Historiques) 等小型类群。此外也经营萱草 (Hémérocalles) 与自配鸢尾专用肥 (Engrais), 形成以鸢尾为主的小众观赏植物产品线。

育种与品质

Cayeux 的选种标准强调多年开花稳定性与不同气候带下的表现一致性, 部分品种曾获国际奖项。每年官方发布的 «Nouveautés» 系列展示最新育出的鸢尾; 苗圃在法国本土自然条件下露天培育, 不依赖温室催花, 让根茎经历真实季节循环后才挖出销售, 以保证买回家后第二年仍能正常开花。

苗圃每年 6 月中旬至 10 月中旬发货, 起苗与打包集中在工作日前段完成, 根茎用天然木纤维包裹以保透气。法国本土与科西嘉岛通过 Colissimo 派送, 大城市及卢瓦雷周边 24 小时到达, 其余 48 小时到达, 单笔订单超过 170 欧元免运费; 同品种 5 株以上享有数量折扣。买家最早可在 3 月起下单, 自选发货时段, 也可推迟或提前已确认的发货日期。

History

Cayeux Iris is the commercial brand of SAS Cayeux, a French société par actions simplifiée registered at the Registre du Commerce et des Sociétés of Orléans under number 302 590 591, with share capital of €98,450. The family firm is headquartered at La Carcaudière, in the commune of Poilly-lez-Gien, Loiret (Centre-Val de Loire). Its roots as an iris nursery reach back to the late 19th century, when the founders began growing and selling iris rhizomes in the middle Loire valley; the firm has shipped garden iris to private customers for more than a century.

Scale and Variety

Each year the nursery selects and lists more than 600 iris varieties for sale. The Tall Bearded range covers cool blues and violets, warm yellows, coppers, oranges, pinks and whites; other groups include Intermediates, Siberian Iris (Iris sibirica), Spuria, Water Iris, Lilliputs and Miniature Dwarfs, plus the historical varieties kept for collectors. Daylilies (Hémérocalles) and a proprietary iris fertilizer (Engrais) round out a small but specialist catalogue.

Breeding and Quality

Cayeux selection work focuses on floriferousness, repeat performance across seasons and proven garden reliability under varied climates; several recent introductions have won international awards. The Nouveautés line released each year highlights the latest crosses. Rhizomes are grown in the open ground under real French weather rather than forced in glasshouses, so a freshly bought plant is expected to settle in and flower properly the following spring.

Sales and Services

The shipping season runs from mid-June to mid-October; rhizomes are lifted at the start of the working week and packed in natural wood-fibre for breathability. Domestic France and Corsica are served by Colissimo (24 h for Loiret and the largest cities, 48 h for the rest of the country), with free carriage above EUR 170 and a quantity discount from five plants of the same variety. Orders open in March and customers can pick, delay or bring forward their preferred delivery window.

Geography and Reach

The growing grounds lie in the Centre-Val de Loire region of central France, in the département of Loiret, about 130 km south of Paris and 60 km from Orléans. Beyond metropolitan France and Corsica, the nursery ships to other European Union member states under reverse charge, and to third countries outside the scope of French VAT, using EORI number FR30259059100020 for customs clearance. Visitors are welcome on weekday mornings and on Saturday mornings throughout May.
