公司的口号是 Coloring Your World,主页分成 About、Concepts、Lifestyle Products、Partnership 四块。

A Dutch bulb business since 1876
TotalGreen Holland is the name of a Dutch company that has been in the bulb trade for a long time. Its own site says it began in 1876, with Since 1876 and Over 145 years in horticulture on the home page, and the consumer shop describes the business as family owned. The older version of the site gives more detail: the brand sits under Q. van den Berg B.V., the headquarters was in Heemstede, and the company ran an 8,000 square metre warehouse with climate-controlled storage, over 50 dedicated employees and 2,000 customers worldwide, with ISO 9001 certification and products meeting USDA and European agricultural requirements. Those numbers date from around 2009; the offices have since moved closer to Amsterdam and the staff is much smaller now.
Most long-standing companies in the Dutch bulb district sell wholesale. What is different about TotalGreen Holland is what it sells: retail programmes for chain stores, so a retailer does not receive a carton of bulbs but a ready-made shelf programme, with the packaging, the display racks and the growing instructions that go with them.

Packaging and displays are the main trade
The range has five parts: flower bulbs, perennials, shrubs, roses and bushes, seeds, and gift items. Bulbs are packed in foil with a capper, which the company says keeps the product fresh and still looks good on the shelf; they can also be blister-packed, boxed or put up as gift items. Pack sizes run from basic packs to value packs, mega packs and promo packs, and they can be assembled into trays and display racks for the customer.
The company calls this a retail concept, and the consumer shop sells whole themed ranges such as the Allium Collection or American Flag Tulips. The old site said it put together seasonal programmes for retailers or designed a complete custom programme for a company. The current site says the creative team travels the world looking for new trends and turns them into products that look good, sell well and stay affordable.

The tulip named at Keukenhof
One tulip is distributed by TotalGreen Holland on its own: the Ronald McDonald House Tulip. It was named at Keukenhof Gardens on 16 April 1993 by the late Alfred Heineken of Heineken Breweries, and part of the sales go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The slogan on the site is Coloring Your World, and the home page is split into About, Concepts, Lifestyle Products and Partnership. The Lifestyle Products section covers goods for the home rather than the garden, candles and decoration, and they sit on the same product line as the bulbs and seeds that go to the retailers.

Three offices and supply across two continents
TotalGreen Holland lists three offices today: Amsterdam as the corporate seat, Wilmington in Delaware in the United States, and Montreal in Quebec in Canada. The company says its corporate offices are in Europe near Amsterdam while the production facilities sit in the United States and Canada, so products and capacity are spread over two continents.
Published customs bill-of-lading records match that description. Most shipments are filed with TOTALGREEN HOLLAND as the supplier and Q. VANDENBERG & SONS INC as the consignee, and the goods are described as pre-cleared dormant flower bulbs and perennials for the USA and/or Canada. A single shipment runs from a hundred-plus cartons to seven hundred-plus, and the display racks that go with them number from a dozen to more than a hundred. Recent records show the cargo leaving through Rotterdam, with some of it going from Belgium. The company also serves landscape contractors, and the old site mentioned a dedicated department run by Rick Weyers, who had more than 35 years in the trade.
The shop for home gardeners
Home gardeners shop on a separate site, consumer.totalgreen.com, where the range is sorted into six lines: spring bulbs such as tulips, alliums, crocuses, hyacinths and narcissi; summer bulbs including begonias, cannas, dahlias, gladioli and lilies; perennials such as peonies, geraniums and echinaceas; seed kits with herbs, grasses, fruit, vegetables, daisies and lavender; bulb grow kits with amaryllis, paper-whites and calla lilies; and fruit and vegetables. The shop carries a few hundred product pages.
The questions and answers on that site are practical. Sow seeds about an inch apart and no deeper than a quarter of an inch, at 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not water an amaryllis after potting until the stem has come up one or two inches. Plant perennials three to four inches deep, or they may not flower. The planting instructions are printed on the packet, so look inside the bag if you cannot find them, and for a replacement or a refund the customer service takes pictures of the receipt and labels by email rather than anything being posted back to Holland. The seeds are also sold as non-GMO.
