协会概况与历史
VVPV（Vlaamse Vasteplantenvereniging）全称为弗拉芒多年生植物协会，1992 年在比利时弗拉芒大区成立，是一个由宿根花卉爱好者自行组织起来的非营利团体。协会的总部设在布鲁塞尔南郊的哈勒（Halle, 邮编 1500），对外公布的增值税号是 BE-0454.243.080。协会的法文缩写对应 RPR Brussel 商业登记处。三十年过去，VVPV 的会员数量已经从最初的几个人增长到一千七百人左右，其中约一百人来自邻近的荷兰及其它周边国家。协会的目标说起来很简单，就是想让更多人真正了解宿根植物在花园里能做出什么样的搭配与效果。
会员构成与组织结构
协会的核心是由九个区域分会组成的，分别是安特卫普（Antwerpen）、布鲁日（Brugge）、莱耶-斯海尔德（Leie-Schelde）、鲁汶（Leuven）、林堡（Limburg）、梅特兰（Meetjesland）、帕约特兰（Pajottenland）、瓦斯与登德（Waas en Dender）、西南弗拉芒（Zuid-West-Vlaanderen）。这九个分会几乎覆盖了弗拉芒大区的主要城市，每月固定举办讲座或实操演示，内容涉及种植、修剪、繁殖、新品种推荐等方方面面。所有讲座都对会员免费开放。夏季月份里分会还会组织一日游，去本国的花园或苗圃参观，冬天则更多是室内讲座。第十一类是全国性活动（Nationaal），通常以多日海外花园游的形式呈现，过去几年分别去过荷兰、英国、法国和德国。
会刊《Tuin & Sfeer》
VVPV 每年出版四期全彩会刊，刊名叫《Tuin & Sfeer》。会刊内容并不局限于多年生植物，而是覆盖各类园艺植物，并有大量花园实例报道、设计文章、苗圃访问记等等。每年三、六、九、十二月的季刊会被邮寄到会员手中，会刊的目录与部分文章也在协会网站上公开。如果想了解某一期的主笔思路，可以翻看最新的几期：2025 年十二月号、2026 年三月号、2026 年六月号、2026 年九月号都已上线。会刊编辑团队来自各个分会，是协会对外最重要的文化产品之一。
主要活动形式
协会一年里会组织讲座、花园集市、植物交换、苗圃参观、海外花园游等多种活动。讲座主题由各分会自行决定，但通常围绕耐寒宿根（如玉簪、矾根、报春、鸢尾等）、新品种介绍、花园设计基础、自然式种植、气候适应花园等议题展开。每年春天还会在伊泽海姆（Izegem）举办大型植物集市，会员可以在 VVPV 摊位上享受折扣。秋季则通常有一次集体交换植物的会员日，分会之间会借此机会互相交流。每年年底协会还会组织一次海外花园游，通常以巴士形式出行，三到五天不等，过去已经去过荷兰库肯霍夫、英国切尔西花展周边、法国诺曼底、德国巴伐利亚阿尔卑斯等目的地。
如何加入与联系方式
会员费是协会主要的收入来源。个人会员和家庭会员的收费标准在网站上都有说明，包括会员资格赠送的《Tuin & Sfeer》季刊、协会花园集市上的折扣、会员专属讲座、海外游优先报名资格等等。会员资格可按年续期，也可作为礼物送给园艺爱好者朋友。协会在 Hall 总部有正式办公地址，具体联系可通过协会网站的联系页进行。比利时弗拉芒大区的居民是协会的主体，但荷兰、法国、德国等邻近地区的园艺爱好者也常年加入。协会的日常运营由理事会与各分会主席共同负责，志愿者是协会最重要的资产。
Origins and Mission
VVPV (Vlaamse Vasteplantenvereniging) was founded in 1992 in Flanders, Belgium, as a non-profit association for enthusiasts of hardy perennial plants. The headquarters sits in Halle, just south of Brussels, with a registered VAT number of BE-0454.243.080 under the Brussels commercial register. Three decades on, the society counts roughly seventeen hundred members, of whom around a hundred live across the border in the Netherlands or in neighbouring countries. The mission is straightforward: helping gardeners discover what perennials can really do in a mixed border.
Regional Chapters Across Flanders
The backbone of the society is its nine regional chapters: Antwerpen, Brugge, Leie-Schelde, Leuven, Limburg, Meetjesland, Pajottenland, Waas en Dender, and Zuid-West-Vlaanderen. Together they cover most of Flanders and run a steady monthly programme of lectures and hands-on demonstrations. Topics range from propagation and pruning to new cultivar trials and planting design. Summer months switch the format to one-day outings, while winters move back indoors. A tenth strand, listed as Nationaal on the website, organises multi-day garden tours abroad, with past destinations including the Netherlands, England, France and Germany.
The Quarterly Journal Tuin & Sfeer
Four times a year VVPV publishes a full-colour journal called Tuin & Sfeer. The journal goes well beyond perennials, covering trees, shrubs, design ideas, garden visits and nursery profiles. Issues come out in March, June, September and December, and are mailed to members. Selected contents and editorials are published on the website. Recent issues include December 2025, March 2026, June 2026 and September 2026, with the editorial team drawn from across the regional chapters. For many readers, the journal alone justifies the annual subscription.
Annual Activities and Events
The society’s calendar mixes lectures, plant fairs, plant swaps, nursery visits and international garden tours. Lecture topics rotate through the year but typically include hardy perennials such as hostas, heucheras, primulas and irises, alongside discussions on naturalistic planting, climate-adapted gardens, design fundamentals and recent cultivar introductions. Each spring VVPV runs a sizeable plant fair in Izegem, where members enjoy a discount at the society stand. Autumn brings a member exchange day where plants change hands between regional groups. The year closes with an international garden tour, often three to five days by coach, with recent itineraries including the Netherlands (Keukenhof), England (around the Chelsea Flower Show), Normandy in France and the Bavarian Alps in Germany.
Membership and Practical Information
Membership dues are the society’s main source of income. The website lists individual and family rates, both of which include the quarterly Tuin & Sfeer, member discounts at society plant fairs, free entry to chapter lectures, and priority booking for the annual international tour. Membership can be renewed annually or given as a gift. The society’s registered office is in Halle, and all enquiries are best directed through the contact page on the website. While most members live in Flanders, gardeners from the Netherlands, France and Germany regularly join. Day-to-day operations are handled jointly by the board and the chapter chairs, with volunteers forming the core of every activity.
