Overview

The American Daylily Society (ADS) is the national authority on the genus Hemerocallis in the United States. Founded in 1946 and originally incorporated as the American Hemerocallis Society, Inc., the organization unites more than 5,000 members from over 20 countries in a shared mission of education, cultivation, and continuous improvement of daylilies. Today the society operates 15 regional divisions across the United States and parts of Canada.

Mission and Organization

The mission of ADS is to educate the public about daylilies, promote their cultivation and enjoyment, and foster the on-going improvement of this perennial flower. The society is supported entirely by volunteers, regional clubs, and a small staff committed to building support for the cultivation and appreciation of Hemerocallis across North America. The annual National Convention brings together hobbyists and professional hybridizers for lectures, garden visits, and the prestigious awards ceremony.

Awards and Cultivar Registration
