Located in Les Chères, Rhône department, north of Lyon and between Lyon and Villefranche-sur-Saône, Pépinières Imbert has been producing ornamental plants since 1840—nearly 180 years of expertise passed down through five generations. This remarkable heritage makes the nursery one of the oldest family-run plant producers in France. The current operators continue the ancestral tradition, committed to delivering quality that honors their predecessors’ legacy.

The nursery produces over 325,000 plants annually across diverse formats: field-grown, container-grown, and plug plants. All plants are cultivated on-site with rigorous quality control at every stage, ensuring robust specimens with well-developed root systems that establish quickly after transplanting. With a collection exceeding 1,000 plant varieties—including ornamental shrubs, trees, perennials, grasses, climbers, roses, and Mediterranean species—the nursery offers exceptional diversity. For large-scale landscape projects, specialty specimens are also available to create distinctive visual impact.
