Christine Davies
Paul
About Christine Davies
Christine Davies has gardened at Fieldcrest on the Wirral since 2004, focusing on scented plants, herbs and traditional British cutting flowers. Trained at the Welsh College of Horticulture and through RHS horticulture and floristry courses, she runs most of the planting and teaching at the garden, including the workshops held in the garden room.
Garden Sections and Plant Range
The 1.3-acre site is organised into large herbaceous borders, a cutting garden, hard-landscaped areas for seating and water, plus a partly-managed wildlife zone left for pollinators and small mammals. The boutique plant nursery specialises in scented plants, herbs and cutting flowers, with an emphasis on encouraging wildlife and eco-friendly practices.
Paul and the Family Team
Paul Davies handles the heavy work on the site: lawns, hedges and the larger building and maintenance jobs, alongside his day job as a business adviser. Their grown-up children also help out where they can: Phil built the website and contributes to business strategy, while Sarah looks after photography and social media.
Memberships and Visits
Fieldcrest is a long-standing member of Flowers from the Farm, the UK network of independent cut-flower growers. Group visits, workshops and garden-room hire are normally available by arrangement; visitors are advised to check the latest openings via Flowers from the Farm listings before travel.
