机构沿革与定位
北京城市景观研究院成立于 2004 年 4 月，是国内一家专门从事城市景观规划设计与研究的专业性社会组织，长期以景观规划设计、旅游度假区规划设计、建筑与室内设计、公共艺术及产品设计为主导业务。研究院工作地点位于北京市顺义区竺园路 12 号院 24 号楼（天竺综合保税区泰达科技园内），下设景观、规划、建筑、室内展示、公共艺术、雕塑、产品等多条业务线，自创立之初就同时持有风景园林工程设计专项资质和旅游规划设计资质，在北京城市规划与景观设计行业积累了较为完整的实务经验。
业务范围与作品分类
研究院对外展示的作品按景观、规划、建筑、室内展示、公共艺术、雕塑、产品七个大类组织，覆盖红色纪念园与爱国主义教育基地、城市与滨水公园、广场与雕塑、酒店与办公建筑室内、机场公共空间艺术等多种项目类型。已建成的代表项目包括鄂托克前旗敖镇圣火公园（2012 年竣工，57 公顷）、鄂托克前旗滴哨沟扯据战纪念园、鄂前旗上海庙鹰骏公园、鄂前旗共产国际秘密交通站纪念园、天津蓟县佛教主题公园、包头石拐矿山文化公园、吉林敦化渤海国广场系列浮雕、汇源钟祥五星级酒店建筑设计及室内、北京首都国际机场进出港大厅艺术工程等。

在纪念性景观与红色文化旅游项目方向，研究院做过马良成固寿山纪念园、阳早寒春纪念园、三段地革命历史纪念馆、共产国际纪念馆、王震井纪念园、温州中国工农红军挺进师主题纪念园、温州浙南平阳大屯村红色旅游经典景区、新疆乌鲁木齐烈士纪念馆等不同规模的纪念空间；在城市公共空间方向，先后承担山东枣庄奚仲文化广场、山西朔州体育公园、吉林敦化渤海国广场、内蒙古鄂尔多斯天骏广场、石家庄滹沱河河道景观、辽宁阜新孙家湾国际工业遗产旅游度假区、新疆乌鲁木齐烈士纪念馆等项目的设计工作；在山地与度假区方向，覆盖河南宝天曼生态旅游区、湖州太湖度假区法华寺景区、山西夏县瑶台山公园、浙江安图长白山文化博览城等。
团队与代表人物
研究院由中央美术学院硕士毕业的郑蕾自 2003 年起担任院长及总设计师，同时她也是当代艺术家，在雕塑、油画、水彩、大漆、瓷器等门类均有持续创作。研究院采用所长负责制的设计师团队模式，长期与规划、建筑、结构、景观、生态、艺术等多专业的协作方共同推进项目，团队规模与项目周期匹配。从已对外公开的项目资料看，团队作品跨度从 2003 年延续至 2020 年前后，覆盖景观、规划、建筑、室内、雕塑五大主要板块，设计对象遍及内蒙古、山西、吉林、辽宁、山东、河南、河北、北京、天津、浙江、湖北、湖南、广东、新疆等省区市。
行业生态与对外联络
作为一家持有风景园林工程设计专项资质和旅游规划设计资质的景观设计机构，研究院与谷德设计网等设计行业平台保持长期合作关系，相关案例在景观频道有持续收录。同期，院长郑蕾的个人艺术工作室「leistudio」以独立域名形式对外发布艺术创作与展览信息，与研究院主业形成景观设计与艺术创作两条相互支撑的业务线。
Institutional Evolution and Positioning
Founded in April 2004, the Beijing Institute of Urban Landscaping Art (IULA) is a specialised social organisation in China dedicated to urban landscape planning, design and research. Its office is located in Building 24, Compound 12, Zhuyuan Road, Shunyi District, Beijing, within the Taida Science Park of Tianzu Comprehensive Bonded Zone. The institute runs practice lines in landscape, planning, architecture, interior design, public art and product design, and has held both the Specialized Qualification for Scenic and Landscape Engineering Design and the Tourism Planning and Design Qualification since its early years, building a complete record of urban planning and landscape work in the Beijing area.

The institute organises its portfolio into seven categories: landscape, planning, architecture, interior display, public art, sculpture and product design. Its work covers memorial parks for revolutionary history education, urban and waterfront parks, civic squares and sculptures, hotel and office interiors, and airport public space art. Representative completed works include the Aolezhaoqi Town Holy Fire Park in Otog Front Banner (completed 2012, 57 hectares), the Dishagou Battle Memorial Park, the Shanghai Temple Eagle Park in Otog Front Banner, the Communist International Secret Communication Station Memorial Park, the Tianjin Jixian Buddhist Theme Park, the Baotou Shiguai Mine Culture Park, the Dunhua Bohai Kingdom Square sculpture series, the interior and architectural design of the Laiyuan Zhongxiang five-star hotel, and the Beijing Capital International Airport arrival and departure hall art project.
Representative Projects and Industry Experience
In the memorial landscape and red cultural tourism direction, the institute has worked on the Ma Liangcheng Gushoushan Memorial Park, the Yang Zao Hanchun Memorial Park, the Sanduandi Revolutionary History Memorial Hall, the Communist International Memorial Hall, the Wang Zhen Well Memorial Park, the Wenzhou Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army Advance Division Memorial Park, the Wenzhou Pingyang Datun Village red tourism site, and the Yutian Martyrs Memorial Hall. In urban public space, it has delivered the Zaozhuang Xizhong Cultural Square in Shandong, the Shuozhou Sports Park in Shanxi, the Dunhua Bohai Kingdom Square in Jilin, the Ordos Tianjun Plaza in Inner Mongolia, the Shijiazhuang Hutuo River landscape, the Fuxin Sunjiawan International Industrial Heritage Resort in Liaoning, and many others. In mountain and resort projects it has covered the Henan Baotianman Eco-tourism Area, the Huzhou Taihu Resort Fahuasi scenic area, the Shanxi Xiaxian Yaotai Mountain Park, and the Jilin Antu Changbaishan Cultural Expo City.
Team and Key Figures
The institute has been led since 2003 by Zheng Lei as president and chief designer. A graduate of the Central Academy of Fine Arts with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees, she is also a contemporary artist active in sculpture, oil painting, watercolour, lacquer and ceramics. The institute operates under a chief-designer-led team model, working long-term with collaborators across planning, architecture, structure, landscape, ecology and the arts. From publicly available portfolio records, its projects span from 2003 to around 2020 across the five main lines of landscape, planning, architecture, interior and sculpture, covering work in Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Jilin, Liaoning, Shandong, Henan, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, Zhejiang, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong and Xinjiang.
Industry Ecosystem and External Engagement
As a landscape design organisation holding both the Specialized Qualification for Scenic and Landscape Engineering Design and the Tourism Planning and Design Qualification, the institute maintains long-term cooperation with industry platforms such as Gooood, where selected projects are regularly published in the landscape channel. In parallel, the president’s personal art studio leistudio publishes independent artistic work and exhibition information under a separate domain, forming a complementary creative line alongside the institute’s landscape design practice.
