历史沿革
历史玫瑰园(Historische Rosengärten)位于德国下萨克森州汉诺威地区的黑明恩(Hemmingen),是一处集玫瑰苗圃、园艺学校和展售花园于一体的家族专营机构。创始人 Sabine Heiner-Dressler 原本从事创业咨询工作,一次偶然在朋友家见到历史玫瑰后,决心把这份爱好变成职业,逐步建起这座专门收集历史与英国玫瑰的苗圃。从一间温室、几个品种起步,经过四十多年的积累,这里已成为下萨克森州最大的玫瑰专营商,业务覆盖玫瑰种植、苗圃销售、园艺设计与展售体验等多个方面。
苗圃与玫瑰收藏
苗圃占地约一万两千平方米,集中展示并销售五百余种玫瑰,涵盖历史经典玫瑰、英国玫瑰和稀有玫瑰三大方向。园内按主题划分了多个展示区,包括日式花园、白色花园、庭院花园、下沉式花园、英式混合花境以及名为「Elfengarten」的精灵花园,游客可以在不同风格的园林空间里直观感受玫瑰与各类宿根植物的搭配效果。苗圃也提供从单株挑选到整园规划的全套服务,既面向个人家庭,也承接历史园林和城堡庄园的玫瑰配置项目。
玫瑰学校与园艺课程
玫瑰学校(Rosenschule)是苗圃面向爱好者的教学板块,内容包括视频教程、修剪课程和花园规划课程三个层次。修剪课程主要示范如何对玫瑰和灌木玫瑰进行正确修剪,以促进生长和花量;花园规划课程则讲解玫瑰与宿根植物如何搭配,如何营造节奏分明的庭院景观。课程既有面向初学者的入门内容,也有面向资深爱好者的进阶内容,所有课程都可在苗圃网站上预约报名,具体时间以网站公布为准。
展售花园与参访体验
苗圃附设的展售花园「Rosenrot」原是一处独立的花艺空间,如今已并入历史玫瑰园,主营英式风格的园艺与家居装饰品,品类包括玫瑰拱门、植物支架、花盆、花园雕塑、花园凉亭等。户外家具区引入了 Fermob 和 Weishäupl 两个德语区知名户外家具品牌,配有相应的遮阳伞和季节性配色。园内还设有一处咖啡馆,游客可以在游览之余稍作停留。整体空间将自然感受、休闲氛围与设计灵感融为一体,是下萨克森州较具代表性的玫瑰主题参访目的地之一。
营业时间与公众活动
苗圃常规销售时段为周三上午十点至下午两点、周四与周五上午十点至下午六点、周六上午十点至下午四点。每年四月下旬至六月底另设周日销售时段,具体时间以网站公告为准。苗圃位于下萨克森州黑明恩,在汉诺威地区有较为便利的公共交通和停车条件。2026 年苗圃参与了德国全国性的「Rendezvous im Garten」文化与园艺节,以及下萨克森州的「Offene Gartenpforte」开放日活动,游客可通过官方网站或园艺节渠道预约报名。
History and Founding
Historische Rosengärten is located in Hemmingen, in the Hanover region of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen), and combines a rose nursery, a horticultural school and a display garden. The founder, Sabine Heiner-Dressler, originally worked as a consultant for start-up businesses. After encountering historical roses at a friend’s garden, she turned this long-standing hobby into a profession and gradually built up a nursery dedicated to old and English roses. What began as a single greenhouse with a handful of varieties has, over more than forty years, grown into the largest specialist rose nursery in Lower Saxony, with activities spanning cultivation, retail, garden design and visitor experiences.
The Nursery and the Rose Collection
The nursery covers around 12,000 square metres and presents more than 500 rose varieties, with a clear focus on historic roses, English roses and rare cultivars. The display areas are organised as a series of themed gardens, including a Japanese garden, a white garden, a patio garden, a sunken garden, an English mixed border and a small “Elfengarten” fairy garden. Visitors can experience first-hand how roses are combined with perennials and other companion plants in different design styles. The nursery also offers individual rose selection as well as full garden design services, working both with private clients and with historic properties and castle estates.
The Rose School and Gardening Courses
The Rosenschule is the nursery’s teaching arm and offers three levels of content: video tutorials, rose pruning courses and garden planning courses. The pruning courses focus on how to prune roses and shrub roses correctly so that they grow vigorously and flower well; the garden planning courses look at how to combine roses with perennials to create rhythmic and harmonious garden pictures. The programme caters both to beginners and to more experienced gardeners, and all courses can be booked through the nursery website. Specific dates are announced on the site.
Display Garden and Visitor Experience
The on-site display garden “Rosenrot” was originally an independent lifestyle shop and has since been integrated into the nursery. Today it specialises in English-inspired garden and home accessories, including rose arches, plant supports, planters, garden sculptures and garden pavilions. The outdoor furniture section features well-known German-speaking brands such as Fermob and Weishäupl, with matching parasols and seasonal colour collections. A small café on site invites visitors to take a break in the middle of the greenery. Together, the gardens, the lifestyle shop and the café form one of the more distinctive rose-themed visitor destinations in Lower Saxony.
Opening Hours and Public Events
Regular sales hours are Wednesday from 10:00 to 14:00, Thursday and Friday from 10:00 to 18:00, and Saturday from 10:00 to 16:00. From late April to late June the nursery also opens on Sundays; specific dates are announced on the website. The nursery is located in Hemmingen, Lower Saxony, within easy reach of Hanover by public transport and offers free parking on site. In 2026 the nursery took part in the nationwide cultural and gardening festival “Rendezvous im Garten” as well as the regional “Offene Gartenpforte” open-garden days. Visitors can register through the official website or via the relevant festival channels.
