历史沿革
Kakteen-Haage 是德国图林根州首府埃尔福特 (Erfurt) 一家专营仙人掌和多肉植物的家族苗圃, 历史可以追到 1685 年。当时 Haage 家族成员已经在埃尔福特以独立花匠身份从业, 这件事有当时的同业登记册为证。1822 年起 Haage 家族正式把业务重心转向仙人掌, 由此被普遍视为德国乃至欧洲规模最大的仙人掌专类苗圃之一。2015 年起苗圃对外口径一直使用「335 年花匠 / 185 年仙人掌专业」这一双年份说法 (分别对应 1685 年家族从业起点和约 1830 年起把仙人掌列为正式生产方向), 沿用至今。
种植规模与温室
苗圃主体位于埃尔福特市区, 自有玻璃温室约 1,500 平方米, 常年维持活体库存约 2 万株, 覆盖约 3,500 个仙人掌与其它多肉植物物种, 以及约 1,200 个令箭荷花 (Epicactus / Epiphyllum) 杂交品系。温室之外, 苗圃同时经营种子目录和按目录邮寄的小苗业务, 是德国少数同时面向业余收藏者、研究机构和高山花园项目的综合供应点。库存中包含一份规模可观的球兰 (Hoya) 收藏, 与正式的仙人掌品类并行展示。
产品与配套品类
Kakteen-Haage 的产品线分四个相互衔接的方向: 一是种类与杂交品系都不断刷新的活体植物; 二是种子目录, 覆盖稀有原种和杂交亲本; 三是按物种配方预拌的栽培基质、缓释肥、杀菌剂以及镊子、标签、嫁接刀等日常工具; 四是与仙人掌研究相关的德语专业书籍、海报和老植株水彩画。除了线上目录和电商后, 实体苗圃周一至周五 8:00-18:00、周六 10:00-15:00 开门, 顾客可以到温室亲手挑选植株。
科普、播客与社区
苗圃围绕「CactusPodcast」维护一档持续更新的德语播客, 内容覆盖同行的访谈、欧洲仙人掌学会 (DKG, Deutsche Kakteengesellschaft) 的动态、稀有物种专题 (如 Espostoa lanata) 以及圣诞市集式的家庭园艺活动。配套的还有德语 Kakteenforum 论坛, 提供近乎全年无休的栽培问答; Cactusblog 与 Kakteenshop、Kakteen-Erfurt (一个由苗圃延伸出的活动品牌) 共同构成围绕同一屋檐下的子站点矩阵。这些对外窗口, 是 Kakteen-Haage 区别于普通电商的关键所在。
对外发货与埃尔福特导览
苗圃每周向欧盟国家发货, 同时也向世界其它大部分地区寄送, 跨境检疫和包装细节由多年经验的物流团队负责。2021 年埃尔福特主办联邦园艺博览会 (BUGA 2021), Kakteen-Haage 作为本地代表性参展单位参与其中, 把苗圃搬到展会舞台。Elisabeth-Cosel 街温室里有专门种植食用仙人掌的玻璃间, 提供仙人掌叶沙拉和猪里脊配仙人掌叶等创意菜品, 是现场活动时对外展示的延伸。
Origins and Family History
Kakteen-Haage is a family-run cactus and succulent nursery based in Erfurt, the capital of Thuringia in central Germany. The Haage family has been recorded as independent gardeners in Erfurt since 1685, a fact documented in old guild registers. Cacti became the formal focus of the business around 1822, a date that marks the beginning of what is generally considered one of Europe’s longest-running cactus specialists. The nursery currently uses the dual tagline “335 years of gardening / 185 years as cactus professionals” (2015 baseline), referring to the family’s 1685 start and the early-19th-century turn toward cacti.
Greenhouses and Living Stock
The main nursery sits inside Erfurt and operates roughly 1,500 square metres of greenhouse, holding a permanent living stock of approximately 20,000 plants. These cover about 3,500 cactus and other succulent species, plus around 1,200 Epicactus (Epiphyllum / Phyllocactus) hybrids. Alongside the live plants the nursery runs a printed and online seed catalogue and a small-plant mail-order service. A sizeable Hoya (wax plant) collection is also maintained in parallel with the formal cactus range, supplying amateur collectors, research institutions and specialist dry-garden projects.
Plants, Seeds and Accessories
The product line breaks into four interlocking streams. The first is a continuously refreshed catalogue of living species and hybrid lines. The second is a seed catalogue covering rare species and hybrid parent stock. The third is a curated set of substrates, slow-release fertilisers, fungicides and day-to-day tools such as tweezers, labels and grafting knives, formulated per plant group. The fourth is a small specialist bookshop and poster / original-watercolour corner centred on succulent botany. The Erfurt greenhouses are open Monday–Friday 08:00–18:00 and Saturday 10:00–15:00 for in-person selection, complementing the on-line shop and seasonal printed list.
CactusPodcast, Forum and Sub-Sites
A defining feature of Kakteen-Haage is the public-facing knowledge layer built around the brand. CactusPodcast is a continuously updated German-language podcast covering guest interviews, Deutsche Kakteengesellschaft (DKG) news, species deep-dives such as Espostoa lanata, and seasonal events including Gärtnerweihnacht. The German-language Kakteenforum answers essentially every cultivation question a hobbyist can raise, while Cactusblog, Kakteenshop and Kakteen-Erfurt function as adjacent sub-brands under the same roof. These channels are the practical reason Kakteen-Haage is treated as a horticultural reference rather than a pure retailer.
Shipping, BUGA 2021 and Erfurt
International shipping runs on a weekly cycle to EU countries and to most other destinations, with quarantine-aware packaging handled by a long-tenured logistics team. In 2021 Erfurt hosted the Bundesgartenschau (BUGA 2021), and Kakteen-Haage was one of the local flagship exhibitors, with propagation work, on-site lectures and edible-cactus tastings staged across the ega-Park and Petersberg venues.
