Welcome to Vale’s Greenhouse

A scenic 40-minute drive southwest of Calgary through the rolling foothills to the picturesque town of Black Diamond, you will find Vale’s Greenhouse. The greenhouse has blossomed since its humble 1976 beginnings. You are greeted at the entrance with a stately river stone and wrought iron fence, and as you proceed in you will discover a twisting walk way with beautiful show beds and a stunning pond area. When you reach the greenhouse sales area you will then discover what long time area horticulturists know about this greenhouse.

 

The customer friendly layout will help any level of gardener, from the novice to advanced, find what you are looking for with large, easy-to-read signage and plenty of staff on hand to help you choose the plant that is perfect for any of your gardening locations.

Unlike most greenhouses, here at Vale’s Greenhouse we grow all our top quality perennials, annuals and basket stuffer plants on site. That way you can be sure they will be hardy for the Alberta weather. Perennials are tested in large show beds and container plants displayed in display containers, so you can see how well they will perform for you. Wandering through six greenhouses and a huge perennial area you will be impressed by the variety of plants that you have not seen before.
