组织概况
英国植物网络（PlantNetwork）是一家面向英国及爱尔兰地区的非营利性慈善机构与会员制专业协作平台，专注于为植物园、苗圃、园艺收藏机构以及一线园艺工作者搭建行业交流网络。该组织自上世纪九十年代中期创立以来，已稳定运营近三十年，被视为英伦三岛与爱尔兰地区植物园及园艺行业最重要的会员协作平台之一。

PlantNetwork 与植物园保护国际（BGCI）以及英国 Observatree 等机构合作推进多个区域性协作项目，包括面向英国本土的”英国花园守卫网络”（UKGSN）、面向全球植物健康预警的国际植物健康监测网络（IPSN）以及面向欧洲历史园林保护的”花园保护工艺技能”项目；平台每周发送行业通讯，帮助会员获取职位信息、活动预告、资助动态、研究进展与行业政策更新，是英国及爱尔兰园艺从业者获取行业资讯与协作资源的核心门户。

About PlantNetwork
PlantNetwork is a non-profit charitable organisation and the professional membership network for botanic gardens and horticulturists across the UK and Ireland. Founded in the mid-1990s, it has supported the people who care for living plant collections for nearly thirty years by connecting horticulturists, curators, students and garden teams through training, networking and knowledge-sharing.
Member Institutions and Coverage
The membership spans some of the most respected institutions in the sector, including Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, the National Botanic Gardens of Wales and Ireland, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, the National Trust, the National Trust for Scotland, and English Heritage, alongside many smaller gardens, independent professionals, students and Friends’ groups that make up the wider network.
Special Interest Groups and Training
PlantNetwork maintains four special interest groups covering tree health, plant records, glasshouse management and plant health: the Tree Forum, the Plant Records Group, the Glasshouse Forum and the Plant Health Group. Members can take part in regular webinars, in-person training days and an annual conference, with content spanning plant conservation, plant records, propagation, glasshouse management, pests and diseases, and other sector best practice.
Industry Collaboration and Research Projects
PlantNetwork collaborates with Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) and Observatree on regional initiatives including the UK-focused UK Garden Sentinel Network (UKGSN), the globally coordinated International Plant Sentinel Network (IPSN) for plant health early warning, and the Craft Skills for Garden Conservation project supporting historical gardens across Europe. A weekly member newsletter curates jobs, events, funding calls, new research and sector developments.
