发展历程
Triffid Park的故事始于1977年，Colin Clayton在维多利亚州丁利（Dingley）创办了丁利蕨类市场（Dingley Fern Market），逐步发展成为澳大利亚最大的零售和批发苗圃之一，种植和销售蕨类、棕榈和兰花。1983年墨尔本经历严重干旱后，Col开始学习和销售食虫植物，这些植物很快成为苗圃的特色产品，吸引了大批爱好者、收藏者和连锁店。1996年，Colin和Tina出售了丁利的大型苗圃，在Keysborough购置15英亩土地，建立了专门种植食虫植物的现代化批发苗圃，正式命名为”Triffid Park”。

现代温室
2007年Donna和Jason Smith接手经营后，在萨默维尔新建了现代化温室。温室面积达32米×40米，配备雨水收集系统（两个5万升水箱）、自动通风口、遮阳帘、湿化系统、循环风扇和燃气加热器等设备。每个生长区域（瓶子草、捕蝇草、猪笼草、茅膏菜、繁殖区）均实现独立温控。温室还设有公共活动室，供花园俱乐部、学校团体等参观交流使用。
邮购与出口
Donna负责管理邮购业务和网站维护，通过邮件向全球客户发货。Colin负责植物种植、订单打包，并常年出差全球研究食虫植物、出席世界大会、收集第一手种植资料。目前Triffid Park为澳大利亚维多利亚州、新南威尔士州、南澳大利亚州和塔斯马尼亚州的零售苗圃供货。

History
Triffid Park was established in 1996 as a wholesale nursery specializing in carnivorous plants. The nursery was founded by Colin Clayton in Keysborough, Victoria, after his previous venture Dingley Fern Market was sold for housing development. In 2007, Donna and Jason Smith took over ownership and relocated the business to Somerville on the Mornington Peninsula, where they built a modern, environmentally friendly 32m × 40m greenhouse facility on 15 acres of land. The nursery supplies retail nurseries across Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, and Tasmania.
Plant Range
Triffid Park offers Australia’s most comprehensive range of carnivorous plants, including Sarracenia, Dionaea (Venus Flytraps), Nepenthes, Cephalotus, various Drosera species (tuberous, tropical perennial, and pygmy Drosera), and Utricularia. The nursery also specializes in water plants, particularly water lilies, making it a one-stop supplier for both carnivorous and aquatic plant needs.
Modern Facilities
The Somerville greenhouse features state-of-the-art environmental controls including rain gutter collection feeding two 50,000-litre water tanks, automated roof vents with shade cloth, thermal screens, misting systems, circulation fans, and individual temperature control for each growing area (Sarracenia, Dionaea, Nepenthes, and propagation houses). A dedicated conservatory space accommodates garden clubs and school groups for educational tours.
Mail Order and Export
Donna manages the mail order business and website, shipping plants to customers worldwide. Colin, now retired, previously handled growing, order packing, and international research trips to carnivorous plant habitats and world conferences. Triffid Park maintains active wholesale relationships with retail nurseries across four Australian states.
