### Overview
Hemmaodlat, located in Augustenborg eco-district, Malmö, Sweden, founded in 2013.
Promote low-cost hydroponic and aquaponic cultivation to help urban residents, especially in low-income and immigrant-dense neighborhoods, grow fresh food locally.
### Core Programs
• Aquaponic & Hydroponic Systems: Glass-fronted tower on Augustenborg square; fish waste fertilizes plants, plants purify water for fish
• Community Supported Agriculture (CSA): 8 shares available with weekly fresh produce delivery
• Weekend Courses & Workshops: Study circles via Studiefrämjandet on hydroponic basics, system design, and biological nutrient cycles
• Low-cost DIY Hydroponic Kits: Available for members to borrow
### Community Impact
With over 70 active members, the association spreads hydroponic knowledge through study circles and workshops, reducing reliance on supermarkets. Participation in Climate-KIC competitions has raised Malmö’s profile as a hub for urban food tech.
