美国国际盆景园（International Bonsai Arboretum）由William N. Valavanis创立于纽约州罗切斯特市，致力于推广经典盆景艺术的园艺与艺术双重表达。1978年更名至今，园内设有Valavanis盆景收藏常年展区，并提供完整的盆景教育课程体系，同时出版《International BONSAI》季刊杂志，发行至五十余个国家。Valavanis 11岁接触盆景，在纽约州立大学Farmingdale分校和康奈尔大学学习观赏园艺，先后赴日50余次学艺，盆景作品在多国获奖。
教育课程
盆景园提供五周入门课程（Introductory Bonsai Course）教授基础技法，开放工作坊（Open Bonsai Workshops）每周五或周六下午为已修学员提供实践指导，进阶研讨会（Intermediate Bonsai Seminars）面向高水平学习者，并组织日本盆景园游学项目。
盆景收藏
园内收藏包括日本枫、三叉枫、花楸、卫矛、银杏、榉树、落叶松等树种，从景观规格素材到适合”床之间”（tokonoma）展陈的小品均有涵盖。盆景园还提供经过专业培育的成型盆景、素材苗（pre-bonsai）及Suiseki山水石藏品，并举办现场示范活动。
出版与展览
Valavanis著有《古典盆景艺术百科》第一卷和第二卷（The Encyclopedia Of Classical Bonsai Art），文章被译成英、日等多国语言发表。他策划并组织了六届美国国家盆景展览（U.S. National Bonsai Exhibition），推动盆景艺术在北美的发展。

The International Bonsai Arboretum was established by William N. Valavanis in Rochester, New York, to promote the horticultural and artistic aspects of classical bonsai art. Originally founded as The House Of Bonsai, the institution was renamed in 1978 to reflect its expanded mission. The Arboretum houses the Valavanis Bonsai Collection, offers a comprehensive educational curriculum, and publishes International BONSAI, a quarterly magazine distributed to over fifty countries worldwide. Valavanis developed his interest in bonsai at age eleven and pursued formal studies in Ornamental Horticulture at SUNY Farmingdale and Cornell University.
Educational Programs
The Arboretum offers a five-week Introductory Bonsai Course for beginners, Open Bonsai Workshops on Friday or Saturday afternoons for enrolled students, and Intermediate Bonsai Seminars for advanced practitioners. It also organizes bonsai garden tours in Japan and hosts international symposia attracting participants from around the world.
Bonsai Collection
The collection features species including Japanese maple, trident maple, Chinese quince, euonymus, ginkgo, hornbeam, and scots pine, ranging from landscape-scale specimens to intimate shohin displays suitable for tokonoma alcove presentation. The Arboretum also offers trained bonsai specimens, pre-bonsai starter material, bonsai tools, pots, and Suiseki stone collections.
Publications and Exhibitions
Valavanis authored The Encyclopedia Of Classical Bonsai Art, Volumes I and II, with articles published in English, Japanese, and other European languages. He organized six U.S. National Bonsai Exhibitions, significantly advancing bonsai appreciation and education in North America.
