苗圃概况
科沃克花园植物苗圃 Kevock Garden Plants 是设在苏格兰米德洛锡安郡拉斯韦德 Lasswade 的小型专科苗圃，由 Stella Rankin 创办并经营多年，专门种植并供应来自世界各地的稀有植物，以高山植物、林地植物和喜湿植物为主，同时经营应季球根和精选的专科树木与灌木。苗圃整体定位是 award-winning specialist not-for-profit nursery，所有盈余均投入到苗圃与团队的持续发展之中。
植物类别与销售方式
苗圃的植物清单常年更新，涵盖高山植物、湿生沼泽植物与林地植物三大类别，球根按春花与夏花两类分别提供线上预订，并附有 meconopsis、daphne、trillium 等专题选辑。客户可通过三条渠道购入植物：通过苗圃在线商店邮寄订购，参加英国各大园艺展览现场购买，以及委托苗圃用于花园整体造景。需说明的是，受植物检疫规定限制，苗圃目前暂不能向北爱尔兰地区发货。
切尔西花展与重要奖项
科沃克花园植物苗圃在英国皇家园艺学会 RHS 切尔西花展上长期表现突出，曾于 2013、2019、2022、2024 年获 Chelsea Flower Show 金奖，并于 2026 年再次摘金，累计已获得十二块切尔西金奖章；2016、2019、2022、2024 年四度获得 Farrer Trophy 最佳高山植物展示奖；2023 年还获得 Chelsea Flower Show 主席大奖 President’s Award。在 2023 年的哈罗盖特春季花展上，苗圃亦获得 Premier Gold 最高金奖。
凯沃克园林设计工作室
苗圃同时设有凯沃克园林设计工作室 Kevock Garden Designs，提供从整体花园规划、植物配植到落地方案的全流程服务，工作范围包括新建花园、历史园林、成熟花园的更新以及林地、岩园、溪畔等专项种植设计。工作室曾为多座英国历史名园提供长期改造服务，其中包括肯特郡的赫弗城堡 Hever Castle 与约克郡的纽比庄园 Newby Hall。领衔设计师 Monica Wylie 同时也是苗圃切尔西金奖展位的负责人。
社会公益与团队
苗圃是 not-for-profit 非营利机构，长期面向因残障、心理健康、神经多样性或社会处境等原因在求职中处于弱势的人群提供工作与志愿机会，让参与者与有经验的园艺师及园艺专业学生并肩劳作。志愿与工作实习事宜可通过 Elea Strang 联系苗圃。苗圃同时承诺尽量采用环保做法，正在尝试完全替代泥炭，并试用线虫等生物方式替代化学农药。
Nursery Overview
Kevock Garden Plants is a small specialist not-for-profit nursery based in Lasswade, Midlothian, Scotland, founded and run by Stella Rankin. The nursery grows and supplies a wide selection of alpine, bog, woodland and damp-loving plants originating from around the world, alongside an exceptional seasonal range of bulbs and a curated list of specialist trees and shrubs. It operates as an award-winning specialist nursery, ploughing all surpluses back into the business and its inclusive team.
Plant Ranges and Sales Channels
The catalogue is updated continuously throughout the year and includes many rare and unusual plants, with separate A-to-Z indexes for plants and bulbs, plus specialty lists for meconopsis, daphne and trillium. Plants are sold by mail-order through the online store, at major UK flower shows and as part of garden design plantings. Due to current plant-health export regulations the nursery is unable to dispatch plants to Northern Ireland or other European Union destinations.
Chelsea Flower Show and Major Awards
Kevock has been a long-standing exhibitor at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, winning Gold medals in 2013, 2019, 2022 and 2024 and returning to Gold again in 2026, taking the tally to twelve Chelsea Gold medals. The nursery has also taken the Farrer Trophy for best Alpine display at an RHS show in 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2024, and received the President’s Award at Chelsea in 2023. A Premier Gold was awarded at the 2023 Harrogate Spring Flower Show.
Kevock Garden Designs
The nursery runs Kevock Garden Designs, a sister studio offering full garden design, planting design, plant supply and layout. Projects range from new private gardens and historic estates to the reinvigoration of mature gardens, with particular specialisms in rock gardens, woodland plantings and streamside schemes. Long-running renovation work has been carried out at Hever Castle in Kent and Newby Hall in Yorkshire, among others. Lead planting designer Monica Wylie is also the designer behind the nursery’s gold-medal Chelsea stands.
Social Mission and Team
As a not-for-profit company the nursery ploughs surpluses back into the business and aims to create opportunities for people who face disadvantage in the workplace due to disability, mental health conditions, neurodiversity or social circumstances. Participants gain work experience or volunteer alongside skilled horticulturalists and horticulture students in an integrated team. Volunteering and work-experience enquiries are handled by Elea Strang. Environmental commitments include working towards going peat free and trialling biological alternatives to pesticides such as nematodes.
