四块业务：开放空间、景观、鉴定与空间规划

业务分成四块。开放空间规划面对公园、城市广场、住区绿地这类场地，从概念做到施工图，也可以承接招标和现场工程监理。景观规划偏重调查与制图，树木普查、生境调查、景观调查都属于这一类，目的是给后续规划和管护打好底子。第三块是咨询与鉴定，主要给市镇和公共机构做专业意见。第四块是空间规划，为市镇编制景观方案和空间发展策略，这块长期与 Porsch 空间规划事务所合作。

“自然在花园”的花园咨询，从 2000 年做到现在

咨询是这家事务所另一条稳定的业务线。自 2000 年起，他们在 Gmünd、Zwettl 和 Waidhofen an der Thaya 三个区承担下奥地利州“自然在花园”（Natur im Garten）项目的花园咨询，跑私人花园和公共绿地，看现场、提管理建议。此外还为下奥地利州的公共机构做开放空间与游戏场咨询，参加竞赛评审，也做屋顶绿化和立面绿化的咨询。团队成员 Gloria Winkler 是 GRÜNSTATTGRAU 认证的建筑绿化初评员。

三个人撑起来的团队，靠外面的合作伙伴

公开的团队页只列了三个人。Franz Grossauer 是事务所主人；Claudia Pettrich 2007 年起在这里工作，负责“自然在花园”的咨询；Gloria Winkler 2016 年加入，同样做咨询。人数少而项目铺得开，靠的是一张合作网：州里的“自然在花园”项目、GRÜNSTATTGRAU、ÖGLA、Porsch 空间规划事务所，还有几位独立规划师和工程事务所。事务所每年也给在读学生留出实习位置。

项目清单与拿过的奖

项目清单从 1999 年的 Gmünd 舒伯特广场一直排到 2026 年的 Blockheide 自然公园方案。几个大一些的：图尔恩花园（Die Garten Tulln）入口区，2018 至 2019 年做规划与现场工程监理，竞赛拿了一等奖；魏特拉啤酒街（Biermeile Weitra）的座椅与小品，2019 至 2021 年，同样是一等奖；塞滕贝格 Nuhr 医疗中心的疗养花园，2016 至 2019 年做设计与施工图；大恩策斯多夫城墙公园，2020 至 2022 年。阿尔滕施泰格林业学校的生态池项目，2009 年拿到下奥地利州“金泥刀”奖。主持人的学术成果也查得到，2020 年和 2023 年与 Stoeglehner 合著的两篇论文讨论生物经济的空间议题，分别发表在 Sustainability 和 Land 上。

A planning office in Gmünd, Lower Austria

Grossauer is a landscape and open space planning office based in Gmünd, in the north-west of Lower Austria. The site puts the position plainly: planning for public, commercial and private outdoor spaces, with an eye on function, design and sustainability. The office is headed by Franz Grossauer, an engineering consultant for landscape planning and landscape care, a sworn civil engineer, a member of the Austrian landscape architects’ association ÖGLA and a senior lecturer at BOKU Vienna. By the office’s own account it has realised open space projects since 1998, working across Lower Austria, Upper Austria, Vienna and Burgenland.

Four fields: open space, landscape, expert reports and spatial planning

The work is split into four fields. Open space planning covers parks, town squares and residential green spaces, from the first concept through to construction drawings, and can extend to tendering and site supervision. Landscape planning is the survey side: tree registers, biotope mapping and landscape surveys that feed later planning and maintenance. A third field is advice and expert reports, mainly for municipalities and public bodies. The fourth is spatial planning, where landscape concepts and spatial development strategies are prepared for municipalities, long in cooperation with the Porsch planning office.

Garden advice under Natur im Garten since 2000

Advice is a steady line of work here. Since 2000 the office has run garden consultations for the Lower Austrian Natur im Garten programme in the districts of Gmünd, Zwettl and Waidhofen an der Thaya, visiting private gardens and public green spaces and suggesting how to look after them. Public bodies also come for advice on open spaces and playgrounds, and the office sits on competition juries and covers roof and facade greening. Team member Gloria Winkler is a qualified first adviser for building greening with GRÜNSTATTGRAU.

A small team working through partners

The public team page lists three people. Franz Grossauer owns the office; Claudia Pettrich has worked there since 2007 and handles the Natur im Garten consultations; Gloria Winkler joined in 2016, also as an adviser. With a team this small the project range depends on partners: alongside the provincial Natur im Garten programme and GRÜNSTATTGRAU, the office works with ÖGLA, the Porsch planning office and several independent planners and engineering firms. Students are taken on for internships each year.

Projects and awards

The project list runs from Schubertplatz in Gmünd in 1999 to the Blockheide nature park concept from 2026. Among the larger jobs: the entrance area of Die Garten Tulln, planned and supervised on site in 2018 and 2019, which took first prize in competition; the seating and street furniture along the Biermeile in Weitra in 2019 to 2021, also a first prize; the therapy garden at the Nuhr Medical Center in Senftenberg, designed between 2016 and 2019; and the Stadtmauernpark in Groß-Enzersdorf, built 2020 to 2022. The wetland biotope at the Allentsteig forestry school was awarded Lower Austria’s Golden Trowel in 2009. The owner’s academic work is on record too: two papers on the spatial side of the bioeconomy, with Stoeglehner, appeared in Sustainability in 2020 and Land in 2023.
