协会宗旨
美国圣地亚哥蕨类学会（San Diego Fern Society, 简称 SDFS）是一个面向圣地亚哥及更远地区的蕨类爱好者与园艺爱好者俱乐部，宗旨是帮助成员在多年种植之后仍能继续学习如何更好地栽培蕨类植物。
活动形式
协会的例会不拘形式：多数月份在线上举行，间隔安排在圣地亚哥的巴尔博亚公园（Balboa Park）现场聚会，偶尔借用会员自家后院作场地；具体场次与时间均以官方网站最新公告为准。
年度蕨展
协会每年八月在巴尔博亚公园内的 Casa Del Prado, Rm 101 举办「Fabulous Ferns – San Diego Fern Show and Sale」，面向公众免费开放，现场展示来自世界各地的珍奇蕨类植物并提供现金购买机会，是加州南部蕨类爱好者一年一度的聚集活动。
教育与图鉴
协会的蕨类图鉴栏目收录了会员多年种植经验的真实记录，覆盖 Asplenium（铁角蕨）、Cyathea（桫椤）、Davallia（骨碎补）、Elaphoglossum（舌蕨）、Aglaomorpha（连珠蕨）、Platycerium（鹿角蕨，含 species 与 hybrids 两个子类）、Lecanopteris（蚁蕨）等属的栽培笔记与照片。
入会与参与
协会对所有蕨类爱好者开放，具体会员类别、入会流程与会费数额以官方网站的入会表格为准；访客可通过官方网页上的「Contact Us」联系协会。
Mission
The San Diego Fern Society (SDFS) is a club for fern growers and gardeners in San Diego or further afield. Members continue to learn how to better grow their ferns after years of practice, and the Society exists to share those hard-won tips with newcomers and veterans alike.
Meeting Formats
Meetings alternate between online sessions, in-person gatherings at San Diego’s Balboa Park and, on lucky occasions, a volunteer’s backyard. Each meeting’s format, location and time are posted on the Society’s official website as soon as they are finalized.
Annual Fern Show
Every August the Society holds Fabulous Ferns – San Diego Fern Show and Sale at Casa Del Prado, Room 101, inside Balboa Park. The free public show features beautiful and unusual ferns from around the world, with cash-purchase plants available and Society growers on hand to share advice on growing ferns in the San Diego area.
Cultivation Gallery
The Society’s Fern Info / Gallery section is built around members’ own cultivation notes and photos. It currently covers Asplenium, Cyathea, Davallia, Elaphoglossum, Aglaomorpha, Platycerium (both species and hybrids), Lecanopteris and related genera, plus a separate Cultivation Help page collecting tips on watering, light, mounting and pest control.
Membership and Contact
The Society welcomes all fern enthusiasts. Current membership categories, sign-up steps and dues are listed on the official website’s membership form; prospective members can reach the Society through the Contact Us page on the same site.
