吉林省省属重点农业大学
吉林农业大学（JILIN AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY，简称吉农）坐落于吉林省省会长春市，是吉林省省属重点大学、吉林省特色高水平应用研究型大学（A类）。学校是吉林省人民政府与农业农村部合作共建大学、吉林省人民政府与中国工程院共建的”中国工程科技发展战略吉林研究院”建设依托单位，入选中西部高校基础能力建设工程，是首批教育部、国家外专局”高等学校学科创新引智计划”（”111″计划）省属高校，首批 50 所”全国创新创业典型经验高校”、首批 99 所国家深化创新创业教育改革示范高校和首批 100 所国家级创新创业教育实践基地建设单位，并被教育部列为首批高等学校科技成果转化和技术转移基地。
七十七年办学传承与周恩来总理亲笔题名
吉林农业大学前身为中共中央东北局于 1948 年在黑龙江省创建的农业干部学校，1950 年升格为黑龙江农业专科学校，1956 年升格为北安农学院并开始四年制本科教育。1958 年，北安农学院、长春畜牧兽医大学、长春农学院筹备处合并成立长春农学院，由周恩来总理亲笔题写校名。1959 年学校更名为吉林农业大学。经过 77 年建设与发展，学校现已成为以农业和生命科学为优势和特色，农、理、工、医、文、管、法、教、经、艺多学科协调发展的省属重点大学，是国家和区域农业、农村发展不可替代的重要人才培养、科技创新和推广服务基地，2026 年 3 月学校更新对外数据，继续保持吉林省省属高校排头兵地位。
学科建设与 ESI 前 1% 八大学科突破
学校设有 22 个学院、1 个直属教学部门和 1 个研究生院，是我国首批具有学士、硕士学位授予权的高校，省属院校中最早获得博士学位授权的高校。拥有 11 个博士学位授权一级学科、2 个博士专业学位授权类别和 9 个博士后科研流动站；22 个硕士学位授权一级学科、15 个硕士专业学位授权类别；1 个国家重点（培育）学科、3 个部委级重点学科、13 个省级特色高水平学科和 2 个吉林省”世界一流学科培育计划”立项建设学科。植物学与动物科学、农业科学、化学、药理学与毒理学、环境与生态学、生物学与生物化学、微生物学和工程学共 8 个学科进入 ESI 全球排名前 1%，学科国际影响力持续提升。
李玉院士领衔的师资队伍与国家科技进步一等奖
学校现有教职工 1826 人，拥有中国工程院院士 1 人（李玉院士，荣获全国脱贫攻坚楷模荣誉称号并在全国脱贫攻坚总结表彰大会上接受习近平总书记颁奖）、俄罗斯科学院外籍院士 2 人、国家级教学名师 1 人、国家重大人才工程（项目）获得者 29 人、国务院特贴专家 37 人、国家”百千万人才工程”人选 7 人。学校坚持”把论文写在大地上”的特色办学之路，2023 年获国家科技进步奖一等奖，实现了吉林省省属高校获国家科技奖一等奖零的突破。”十四五”以来承担科研项目 3294 项、科研经费 11.89 亿元，获省部级奖励 139 项，在 Science、Cell 等国内外高水平刊物发表学术论文 3875 篇，获评吉林省政府首批科技成果转化贡献奖（单位），累计创造技术增收 180 余亿元。
面向世界的开放办学与乡村振兴吉林模式
学校坚持开放办学，先后与美国、意大利、赞比亚等 31 个国家和地区的 99 所院校、机构建立校际交流合作关系，是”中非高校百校合作计划”中方成员高校、”‘一带一路’南南合作农业教育科技创新联盟”理事成员单位、中国政府奖学金资格院校。与意大利卡麦利诺大学、美国西肯塔基大学联合开展中外合作办学；在赞比亚大学建立”中赞学院”开展境外办学；代表国家援建的赞比亚农业技术示范中心被誉为”南南合作典范”。学校占地 1295.64 公顷，纸质图书 192 万册、电子图书 141 万种，全日制在校生 26951 人；构建了以 34 个国家部委级科研平台为引领、101 个省级科研平台为依托的创新矩阵，形成校地合作”安图模式”、校村合作”民乐模式”、校企合作”博瑞模式”、精准扶贫”好田模式”、科技帮扶”靖宇模式”和国际合作”赞比亚模式”六大科技服务体系，为吉林争当现代农业建设排头兵贡献智慧和力量。
Jilin Provincial Key Agricultural University
Jilin Agricultural University (JLAU), located in Changchun, the capital city of Jilin Province, is a Jilin provincial key university and a provincial high-level applied research-oriented university (Category A). Co-built by the Jilin Provincial People’s Government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and serving as the supporting institution for the Jilin Research Institute of China Engineering Science and Technology Development Strategy co-established with the Chinese Academy of Engineering, JLAU is part of the Midwestern Universities Basic Capacity Building Project. It is among the first provincial universities in the “111 Plan” of the Ministry of Education and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, one of the first 50 “National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Typical Experience Universities,” one of the first 99 national innovation and entrepreneurship education reform demonstration universities, and one of the first 100 national innovation and entrepreneurship education practice bases, as well as an MOE-designated base for the transformation and transfer of university scientific and technological achievements.
Seventy-Seven Years of Heritage Inscribed by Premier Zhou Enlai
The university traces its origins to the Agricultural Cadre School founded by the Northeast Bureau of the CPC Central Committee in Heilongjiang Province in 1948. It was upgraded to the Heilongjiang Agricultural Junior College in 1950, elevated to Bei’an Agricultural College in 1956 with the launch of its four-year undergraduate programs, and merged in 1958 with the Changchun Animal Husbandry and Veterinary University and the preparatory office of Changchun Agricultural College to form Changchun Agricultural College, whose name was inscribed by Premier Zhou Enlai. In 1959 the institution was renamed Jilin Agricultural University. After 77 years of development, JLAU has become a provincial key university distinguished by agriculture and life sciences, with coordinated development across agriculture, science, engineering, medicine, literature, management, law, education, economics and the arts, and remains an irreplaceable base for talent cultivation, scientific innovation and extension services for national and regional agricultural and rural development. Discipline Development and Eight ESI Top-1% Fields
JLAU comprises 22 colleges, one directly affiliated teaching division and one graduate school. It was among the first Chinese institutions authorized to confer bachelor’s and master’s degrees and was the earliest provincial university in Jilin to obtain a doctoral degree authorization. The university holds 11 first-level doctoral degree authorization disciplines, 2 doctoral professional degree categories and 9 postdoctoral research stations; 22 first-level master’s degree authorization disciplines and 15 master’s professional degree categories; one national key (cultivation) discipline, 3 ministerial key disciplines, 13 provincial distinctive high-level disciplines and 2 Jilin provincial “World-Class Discipline Cultivation Plan” construction disciplines. Eight disciplines—Plant and Animal Science, Agricultural Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Environment and Ecology, Biology and Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Engineering—rank in the global top 1% of ESI, demonstrating a steadily expanding international academic footprint.
Academician Li Yu’s Faculty Team and a First Prize of the State Science and Technology Progress Award
JLAU has 1,826 faculty and staff members, including one academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (Academician Li Yu, honored as a national role model of poverty alleviation and personally awarded by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the national summary and commendation conference on poverty alleviation), two foreign academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences, one national-level teaching master, 29 recipients of national major talent programs, 37 State Council special allowance experts and seven scholars selected for the National “Hundred, Thousand, Ten-Thousand Talents Project.” Guided by the philosophy of “writing theses on the land,” JLAU won the First Prize of the State Science and Technology Progress Award in 2023, breaking the long-standing gap in such top national honors for provincial universities in Jilin. Since the 14th Five-Year Plan period the university has undertaken 3,294 research projects with research funding of 1.189 billion CNY, received 139 provincial and ministerial awards, published 3,875 papers in Science, Cell and other high-impact journals at home and abroad, earned the first Jilin Provincial Government Achievement Transformation Contribution Award (institutional), and generated over 18 billion CNY in cumulative technical income for society.
Global Engagement and the Jilin Model for Rural Revitalization
JLAU pursues an open approach to education and has established inter-university cooperation with 99 institutions across 31 countries and regions, including the United States, Italy and Zambia. It is a Chinese member university of the “China-Africa Universities 100 Cooperation Plan,” a governing member of the “Belt and Road South-South Cooperation Agricultural Education, Science and Technology Innovation Alliance,” and a Chinese Government Scholarship-qualifying institution. It co-runs joint programs with the University of Camerino in Italy and Western Kentucky University in the United States, operates the “China-Zambia Institute” at the University of Zambia for overseas education, and the Zambia Agricultural Technology Demonstration Center built with Chinese assistance has been hailed as a model of South-South cooperation. The campus covers 1,295.64 hectares, holds 1.92 million print volumes and 1.41 million e-books, and enrolls 26,951 full-time students. Anchored by 34 national ministerial-level research platforms and 101 provincial platforms, JLAU has developed six landmark service models—Antu (university-locality), Minle (university-village), Borui (university-enterprise), Haotian (targeted poverty alleviation), Jingyu (science and technology assistance) and Zambia (international cooperation)—contributing intellectual support to Jilin’s leading role in modern agriculture and to the broader goal of rural revitalization in the new era.
