在比尔起步的私人藏书与三十余年积累
瑞士树木学图书馆 Bibliothèque Suisse de Dendrologie（简称 BSD）是一家专门收藏树木与木本植物文献的专题图书馆，1980 年代由瑞士文献学者 Hugues Vaucher 在比尔 Bienne 创办。起初只是聚焦树木学的小型私人藏书，目标是尽量收齐欧洲能找到的树木分类、栽培与生态相关图书与期刊；经过近二十年的购买、捐赠和同业交换，这份藏书逐步扩展为瑞士最完整的树木文献专藏之一，后来整体交给 AAVA，并由基金会接手迁入 Vaud 州。
2002 年迁入阿尔博讷树木园
2002 年，BSD 整体从比尔迁入 Vaud 州阿尔博讷 Aubonne 镇外的阿尔博讷树木园 Arboretum du Vallon de l’Aubonne 新落成的访客中心。位置在洛桑和日内瓦之间，与树木园自身的植物收藏、木材博物馆和 AAVA 文献档案放在同一栋楼里运营。树木园本身由 AAVA 于 1968 年成立，1973 年又设立 FAVA（Fondation de l’Arboretum National du Vallon de l’Aubonne）持有全部土地资产，确保这块地不会被开发；BSD 作为 AAVA 下属的学术机构，由树木园统一管理，负责人 Raymond Tripod 已长期在岗，馆务经费则主要来自瑞士树木学基金会 Fondation Suisse pour la Dendrologie。
馆藏规模、语种构成与期刊体系
按照树木园官网公开的数据，BSD 现有 6,400 余条目录条目，分入 200 多个主题类目；其中 4,920 册图书实际在架，按语种大致是法语 3,030 册、英语 820 册、德语 940 册、其他语种 130 册。馆内另外建有约 12,200 条学术或科普文章题录，2,300 余份特定文献以活页夹形式归档保存，并维持约 30 份活跃的专业期刊订阅与交换，与欧洲其他树木园、图书馆和树木学会长期互通。多余复本会在阿尔博讷树木园访客中心出售，所获款项继续用于新书采购。
检索方式与到馆使用规则
BSD 是一所参考型图书馆，本身不办理借阅。公众可通过网站远程检索目录，浏览最近入藏、捐者名录和按 Groupes matières 主题分组的书目；专业人士与学生若需查阅实体馆藏，需要先联系树木园秘书处预约到馆时间，再到访客中心现场阅读。所有联系事务都通过 Arboretum 秘书处统一处理，邮件可写至 contact@arboretum.ch 或打电话预约。
对外合作与公开资源的双重定位
BSD 同时承担两项角色：对内是阿尔博讷树木园科普体系的一部分，每年树木园 Bulletin 年度专刊都会留出 BSD 章节，报告新书入藏、期刊交换、捐者致谢与年度财务；对外则与欧洲树木学会保持长期的学术交换关系，藏书通过同业互赠不断补充。BSD 自己另有一个独立网站，集中提供书目检索、最新入藏、捐者名录和主题分类浏览，可通过下方链接直接访问。
Origins and Three Decades of the Swiss Dendrology Library
The Bibliothèque Suisse de Dendrologie (BSD) is a specialised reference library devoted to trees, shrubs and woody plants. It was started in Bienne during the 1980s by the late Hugues Vaucher as a private working collection of dendrology titles and gradually grew into one of the most complete holdings on ligneous plants in Switzerland, before being taken over by the AAVA and relocated to the Arboretum du Vallon de l’Aubonne.
Move to the Arboretum Centre and Operating Setup
In 2002 the BSD moved from Bienne into the new visitor centre of the Arboretum du Vallon de l’Aubonne, between Lausanne and Geneva in the Canton of Vaud, where it shares a building with the Arboretum’s own plant collections, the Musée du Bois and the AAVA archives. The Arboretum itself was founded by the AAVA in 1968, with its land held since 1973 by the FAVA to keep the site inalienable; the BSD operates as an academic unit of the Arboretum, with ongoing support from the Fondation Suisse pour la Dendrologie and from more than two hundred regular donors.
Holding Size, Language Mix and Periodicals
The BSD currently lists over 6,400 catalogue entries organised in more than 200 thematic categories, of which 4,920 volumes are physically on the shelves, split between roughly 3,030 in French, 820 in English, 940 in German and 130 in other languages. The library also indexes about 12,200 scientific or popular articles, keeps 2,300 specific documents in binders, and maintains around 30 active specialised periodicals through subscriptions and exchanges with other arboreta, libraries and dendrology societies across Europe.
On-site Access, Donors and Usage Rules
The BSD is a reference library only and does not lend books; readers worldwide can search the catalogue online, while professionals and students who need to consult works in person must arrange an appointment in advance through the Arboretum secretariat. Surplus duplicate volumes are sold at the Arboretum reception desk to fund further acquisitions, and donors are acknowledged in the Arboretum’s annual Bulletin together with the BSD activity report.
Cooperation Network and Public Resources
The BSD keeps long-standing exchange relations with European dendrology societies and is an integral part of the Arboretum’s outreach programme: each annual Arboretum Bulletin contains a dedicated BSD chapter reporting new acquisitions, periodicals, donor thanks and the year’s finances. The BSD also runs its own independent website at livresbsd.ch for catalogue search, recent acquisitions, donor lists and browsing by subject group, while all correspondence is coordinated through the Arboretum secretariat at contact@arboretum.ch.
