The Australian National Botanic Gardens, situated on the lower slopes of Black Mountain in Canberra, holds the world’s most comprehensive display of living Australian native plants — a place for recreation, inspiration, science, and learning. The Centre for Australian National Biodiversity Research (CANBR) is jointly managed by CSIRO and the Director of National Parks, incorporating the Australian National Herbarium with over 1.2 million specimens.
