历史沿革
“东北林业大学” NORTHEAST FORESTRY UNIVERSITY 创建于 1952 年 7 月,原名东北林学院,是在浙江大学农学院森林系和东北农学院森林系基础上建立的,由原国家林业部直属管理。1985 年 8 月更名为”东北林业大学”,2000 年 2 月由原国家林业局划归教育部直属管理,2005 年 10 月经国家发改委、财政部和教育部批准,成为国家”211 工程”重点建设高校,2011 年 6 月成为国家”优势学科创新平台”项目重点建设高校,2017 年 9 月经国务院批准被列入国家”双一流”建设高校行列,2022 年 2 月入选国家第二轮”双一流”建设高校。
学科与专业
学校地处我国最大国有林区的中心——哈尔滨市,校园占地 136 公顷,并拥有帽儿山实验林场(帽儿山国家森林公园)和凉水实验林场(凉水国家级自然保护区)等教学、科研、实习基地,总面积达 3.3 万公顷。学校现设有研究生院、22 个学院、1 个教学部和海南国际学院,有 71 个本科专业、26 个国家级一流本科专业建设点,9 个一级学科博士点、2 个专业学位博士点,18 个一级学科硕士点,19 个类别的专业学位硕士点,10 个博士后科研流动站,1 个博士后科研工作站。拥有林业工程、林学 2 个世界一流建设学科,生物学、生态学、风景园林学、农林经济管理 4 个国内一流建设学科,3 个一级学科国家重点学科、11 个二级学科国家重点学科,植物学与动物学、农业科学、环境与生态学、化学、材料科学、工程学、生物学与生物化学、地球科学等 8 个学科进入 ESI 全球排名前 1%。
师资队伍
学校现有研究生、全日制本科生 31000 余人,其中本科生 20000 余人、研究生 11000 余人。现有教职员工 2500 余人,其中专任教师 1500 余人。有中国工程院院士 1 人,中国科学院院士 1 人,国家级人才计划入选者 53 人次,享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家 25 人,享受黑龙江省政府特殊津贴专家 14 人,国家有突出贡献中青年专家 1 人,省部级有突出贡献中青年专家 5 人,有全国高校黄大年式教师团队 2 个、国家林草局林草科技创新团队 5 个、黑龙江省专业技术领军人才梯队 9 个,获评全国教书育人楷模 1 人,国家级教学名师 5 人,全国优秀教师 6 人,全国模范教师 3 人,省级教学名师 29 人。
科研平台
学校拥有林木遗传育种全国重点实验室(东北林业大学)、木本油料资源利用全国重点实验室(东北林业大学)、生物资源生态利用国家地方联合工程实验室、黑龙江帽儿山森林生态系统国家野外科学观测研究站;有森林植物生态学、生物质材料科学与技术、东北盐碱植被恢复与重建、森林生态系统可持续经营 4 个教育部重点实验室,5 个国家林业和草原局重点实验室及猫科动物研究中心,16 个黑龙江省重点实验室,5 个黑龙江省国际合作实验室;有 2 个教育部工程研究中心,2 个高等学校学科创新引智基地,有林学、森林工程、野生动物 3 个国家级实验教学示范中心,森林工程、野生动物 2 个国家级虚拟仿真实验教学中心。”十二五”以来,学校获得各级各类科研成果奖励 765 项,其中,国家科技进步二等奖 6 项、省部级科研奖励 328 项(其中一等奖 29 项),获得授权发明专利 1725 件。
国际交流
学校积极开展国际交流与合作,先后与近 30 个国家和地区的 100 余所高等院校和研究机构建立了校际合作关系。学校每年有近 300 位国外及港澳台地区的专家学者来校讲学、合作研究和访问考察,每年派出 100 余位教师赴国(境)外攻读学位、进修访问和科研合作;与俄罗斯、新西兰、英国、法国、美国、加拿大、澳大利亚、韩国、日本等国家和港澳台地区的友好学校开展了形式多样的学生交流项目。学校与新西兰奥克兰大学、英国阿斯顿大学、英国伦敦大学伯克贝克学院联合举办了中外合作办学机构、办学项目;2024 年 5 月,学校在海南陵水黎安国际教育创新试验区设立了海南国际学院。作为中国政府奖学金来华留学生接收院校,已培养了一大批优秀留学生,生源来自五大洲 100 余国家。
Historical Evolution
Northeast Forestry University (NEFU) was founded in July 1952 under the name Northeast Forestry College, established on the basis of the Forestry Department of Zhejiang University College of Agriculture and the Forestry Department of Northeast Agricultural College, and was directly administered by the former Ministry of Forestry. In August 1985, the school was renamed Northeast Forestry University. In February 2000, it was transferred from the former State Forestry Administration to the direct administration of the Ministry of Education. In October 2005, with the approval of the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education, it became a key construction university of the national “211 Project”. In June 2011, it became a key construction university of the national “Advantageous Discipline Innovation Platform” project. In September 2017, it was approved by the State Council to be included in the national “Double First-Class” initiative construction university list, and in February 2022 it was selected for the second round of the national “Double First-Class” initiative.
Disciplines and Programs
The university is located in Harbin, at the center of the largest state-owned forest region in China, covering a campus area of 136 hectares, and owns the Maoershan Experimental Forest Farm (Maoershan National Forest Park) and the Liangshui Experimental Forest Farm (Liangshui National Nature Reserve) and other teaching, research and practice bases, with a total area of 33,000 hectares. NEFU now has a graduate school, 22 colleges, 1 teaching department and the Hainan International College, offering 71 undergraduate programs including 26 national first-class undergraduate program construction sites, 9 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 2 professional degree doctoral programs, 18 first-level discipline master programs, 19 categories of professional degree master programs, 10 postdoctoral research stations and 1 postdoctoral research workstation. The university owns 2 world-class construction disciplines of Forestry Engineering and Forestry, 4 domestic first-class construction disciplines of Biology, Ecology, Landscape Architecture and Forestry Economics and Management, 3 first-level national key disciplines, 11 second-level national key disciplines, and 8 disciplines including Plant and Animal Science, Agricultural Sciences, Environment and Ecology, Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, Biology and Biochemistry, and Earth Science entering the top 1% in ESI global ranking.
Faculty
The university has more than 31,000 graduate and full-time undergraduate students, including more than 20,000 undergraduates and more than 11,000 graduate students. It has more than 2,500 faculty and staff, including more than 1,500 full-time teachers. The faculty includes 1 member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 53 national-level talent program fellows, 25 experts enjoying the State Council special allowance, 14 experts enjoying the Heilongjiang Provincial Government special allowance, 1 national young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions, 5 provincial and ministerial young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions, 2 Huang Danian-style teacher teams of national colleges and universities, 5 forestry and grassland science and technology innovation teams of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, 9 leading talent echelons of Heilongjiang Province. Among the honors, 1 national model of teaching and educating, 5 national-level teaching masters, 6 national outstanding teachers, 3 national model teachers and 29 provincial-level teaching masters have been recognized.
Research Platforms
The university owns national key laboratories of Forest Tree Genetics and Breeding (NEFU) and of Woody Oil Resources Utilization (NEFU), the National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory of Bioresource Ecological Utilization, and the Heilongjiang Maoershan Forest Ecosystem National Field Scientific Observation and Research Station; 4 key laboratories of the Ministry of Education including Forest Plant Ecology, Biomass Materials Science and Technology, Saline-Alkali Vegetation Restoration and Reconstruction in Northeast China, and Sustainable Management of Forest Ecosystems, 5 key laboratories and the Feline Research Center of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, 16 key laboratories of Heilongjiang Province and 5 international cooperation laboratories of Heilongjiang Province. Since the 12th Five-Year Plan, the university has received 765 various scientific research awards at all levels, including 6 second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 328 provincial and ministerial scientific research awards (including 29 first prizes), and 1,725 authorized invention patents.
International Exchange
The university actively carries out international exchange and cooperation, and has established inter-university cooperative relations with more than 100 universities and research institutions in nearly 30 countries and regions. Nearly 300 foreign and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan experts and scholars come to the university for lectures, cooperative research and visits each year, and more than 100 teachers are sent abroad each year for degree study, further training and research cooperation. The university has carried out various student exchange programs with friendly schools in Russia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Canada, Australia, South Korea, Japan and other countries as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. NEFU has jointly established Chinese-foreign cooperative education institutions and programs with the University of Auckland in New Zealand, Aston University in the United Kingdom and Birkbeck College of the University of London. In May 2024, the university established the Hainan International College in the Hainan Lingshui Li’an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone. As a Chinese Government Scholarship recipient institution for international students, NEFU has cultivated a large number of outstanding international students from more than 100 countries across five continents.
