Founding and the Redwood Coast Nursery

The Jonsteen Company, founded c. 1992 by Steen Christensen and Jonathan Claasen, began as a supplier of live redwoods with interpretive packaging inside America’s National Parks. Headquartered at McKinleyville, on California’s Redwood Coast, the family-run nursery specializes in Giant Sequoia and Coast Redwood seedlings, custom tree packaging, 100% guaranteed Seed Grow Kits, and large-scale corporate tree-giveaway programs.
