Company History and Adjacent Operations

LeRoy Thom founded T-L Irrigation Company at 1103 E. South St. in Hastings, Nebraska in 1955. In 1956 the company sold more than 300 miles of Tractor Tow Line sprinkler systems, and in 1962 it acquired the Habco grain dryer patents. The first T-L Self-Propelled Circular Irrigation System was built in 1969, introducing the hydraulic continuous-movement drive. A 1971 fire at the original site prompted relocation to the former Hastings Naval Depot. The Pump, Power & Engineering Division was established in 2003 to package John Deere and Cummins engines with Cornell and Berkeley centrifugal pumps. T-L’s commercial hot dip galvanizing plant, also launched in 2003, has provided corrosion-protective zinc coatings for more than 36 years.
