Ampac does not sell retail”(Ampac 不做零售)的批发出身贯穿其四十余年经营史。
Integrity and Excellence, Our Foundation, Your Guarantee”(诚信与卓越,奠定基石,品质保证)作为企业的服务承诺写进每一份出货单。

Corporate Profile
Founded in 1978 and headquartered at 32727 Hwy. 99E, PO Box 318, Tangent, Oregon 97389, Ampac Seed Company is one of the most established wholesale suppliers of turfgrass and forage seeds in North America. The name “Ampac” is short for “American Pacific,” reflecting the company’s roots in the Pacific Northwest seed-growing region. Ampac is grower owned, meaning the producers have a vested interest in the quality of every bag shipped, and the company has never sold retail — its business is built on serving distributors, lawn-care operators, golf-course builders, and forage producers across the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Pacific Rim.
Ampac produces roughly 25 million pounds of seed annually (per industry coverage in Oregon Seed), distributing proprietary varieties as well as public cultivars and commons through certified blends and mixes that carry the company’s “Integrity and Excellence, Our Foundation, Your Guarantee” pledge.
Product Lines
Ampac organizes its catalog into three core divisions. The Turfgrass division covers bentgrass, Kentucky bluegrass, fine fescue, perennial ryegrass, tall fescue and a full lineup of regional Turf Perfect® blends, with downloadable tech sheets documenting mowing height, disease tolerance, and fertility requirements. The Forage division spans alfalfa, clovers, brassicas, bromes, festulolium, fescues, orchardgrass, ryegrasses, teff, timothy, and the Pasture Perfect® mix family, plus specialty hybrids such as Pro-Max BMR Sudangrass. The Wildlife division markets the Wildlife Perfect® food-plot formulas designed to attract deer, turkey, and upland game. Cover-crop offerings (Bruiser Annual Ryegrass, GroundHog Radish) and the Green Friendly™ line round out the catalog.
Industry Affiliations and Technical Resources
Ampac maintains active memberships in the American Forage and Grassland Council (AFGC), International Seed Federation (ISF), National Turfgrass Evaluation Program (NTEP), Oregon Seed Association (OSA), American Seed Trade Association (ASTA), and partner organizations such as First the Seed Foundation and Beyond the Seed. The company publishes two popular pocket references — the Turfgrass Pocket Guide and the Forage Seed Pocket Guide — and produces a regular newsletter for distributors and turf professionals.
Distributor-First Service Model
Because Ampac sells exclusively through its authorized dealer network, the company invests heavily in distributor enablement: personalized field training and on-site visits, cooperative advertising support, customized marketing collateral built from regional or international data, certified custom blends with no minimum order complications, competitive contract pricing on blends, mixes, proprietaries, and commons, and freight options ranging from full railcar loads down to partial LTL shipments. The Dealer Login portal provides account-specific pricing, inventory, and technical documentation to credentialed partners.
