We have year round activities and monthly meetings which feature presentations by experts on a wide variety of gardening topics.

Take a self-guided tour of the Native and Shade Garden.

We award annual scholarships to students of horticulture.

About the Club

The Garden Club of Minneapolis is an organization for all people interested in gardening. Our members hail from communities throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area, from all walks of life and have diverse gardening interests. 

We were chartered as the Men’s Garden Club of Minneapolis by the Men’s Garden Clubs of America in October 1942, and in November 2012, changed to Men’s and Women’s Garden Club of Minneapolis. In 2022 we celebrated our 80th year as a club, and in 2024 we became the Garden Club of Minneapolis.

We meet the second Tuesday of each month year round. In May, we hold our annual Plant Sale, in June-July we have Garden Tour Events, in August we hold our Flower Food Foto Show, and for the forth year in a row, we will be back at the State Fair. We end the outdoor gardening year with our Annual Award Banquet and Silent Auction in October. To find out more event details, please go to our 2026 Events page.
