S & W Greenhouse, Inc. is a family-run greenhouse nursery located in White House, Tennessee, founded by Jeff Smith. With a history of more than two decades in horticulture, the nursery originally specialized in container-grown and bare-root rose mail order across the United States. After more than 30 years of growing and shipping roses, the operation made a strategic decision in 2015 to discontinue its rose business, refocusing instead on selling spring annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, and fall mums directly to the public through its on-site greenhouses.

Today the nursery offers six main plant categories. The annuals line includes ageratum, wax begonias (Badabing and Badaboom), Geranium Americana and Calliope series, impatiens, Antigua marigold, pansies, pentas, gerbera daisies, petunias, Salsa salvia, vinca, and Magellan zinnias. The perennials line includes bishop’s weed, Buddleia (butterfly bush), clematis, coreopsis, purple coneflower, daylilies (Stella de Oro), sweet William dianthus, Shasta daisy, cardinal flower, bee balm, primrose, black-eyed Susan, and sedum. The fall mums line offers more than a dozen named cultivars in a full color range, including Alisha, Bethany, Chelsey, Hailey, Kathleen, Makenna, Mary, Edna, Cheryl, Megan, Okra, Olivia, Wanda, and Wilma.

Built on a family-and-friends foundation, the nursery offers hands-on customer service, fair prices, and high-quality plants. Its greenhouses are open to the public every day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. between March 15 and October 31, allowing walk-in customers to browse and select plants in person.
