Institute for Landscape Architecture in South Africa
The Institute for Landscape Architecture in South Africa (ILASA) is a voluntary organisation registered with the South African Council for the Landscape Architectural Profession. The Institute for Landscape Architecture in South Africa has three regional bodies, one in the Western Cape (ILASA Cape), one in KZN (ILASA KZN) and one in Gauteng (ILASA Gauteng), that represent members countrywide.
ILASA welcomes members from diverse professions that share a joined interest in the South African landscape.

About ILASA
Landscape Architecture in South Africa
ILASA is mandated to grow and promote the profession and concept of landscape architecture so as to create demand for this specialist service both in the public and private sector.
Goals
Advance dignity and competence of the profession
Uplift previously disadvantaged societies
Advancement of professional competence through education
Support sustainable ecological planning and management
Support of public involvement in planning and design process
Promotion of excellence through peer review recognition
Increase visibility of the profession to government and society
Promotion of the landscape architecture profession
Mission
To advance the profession of landscape architecture — specifically the role this profession plays within the South African environment — both built and natural.

The Institute for Landscape Architecture in South Africa (ILASA) is a voluntary organisation registered with the South African Council for the Landscape Architectural Profession (SACLAP). We represent three regional bodies across the Western Cape, KZN, and Gauteng.
